Remember the time Reach had practically all the game types previous Halo games had and more, all at launch? I do. Don't forget this was back in 2010, and more gametypes were added later.

There was a point in Reach where there was too many game modes.

That is not a bad thing, you are not required to spend an equal amount of time with each game mode. There are no down sides for Reach having as many game types as it did, and the ones added later made for some crazy custom games.

It's a bad thing when i t comes to having a sizable population to matchmake with. Don't get me wrong, I love Halo Reach, I just think and understand why there are so few playlist in online games.
-
Not every game type had its own playlist aside from the Arena, MLG, snipers, SWAT, and Griffball, but they have their own community within the Halo community. If there was a Juggernaut, Race, Headhunter, Stockpile, territories, etc. playlists, then it would be a problem.

Yeah, H5 was off to a bad start but bows it's shaping itself into a very good game, though Reach will always be the best imo, unless 343 do something spectacular.

true. Rather sad when you say it like that. I guess that is the state of the gaming industry nowadays...I'm just happy I can finally do some of my favourite activities on the latest Halo, but I see where you are coming from.
