There will be pve end game.
Sure, but when? Right now, pve end game is just recycled story missions on "challenge" difficulty. A raid, rikers or whatever, 3 months after release would be a disaster.

-blam!- i'm dumb, forgot to add the link lmao. http://gamerant.com/division-raids-310/

Yeah, I've seen that stuff floating around the reddit. I am sure they have some multi-group content coming, but when? Release is so close and there hasn't been any info at all yet.

I just think that no info =\= not gonna be there right away. Maybe they just want to surprise us and let us find out ourselves? i hate getting everything spoiled before a game is even out
I just think that no info =\= not gonna be there right away. Maybe they just want to surprise us and let us find out ourselves? i hate getting everything spoiled before a game is even out
Fair enough. I guess what I'm pushing back on is: this belief, this unreasonable expectation, that the raid will be there because we want it to be. Or because we think it's what the game needs. Massive has done nothing to supports this belief. And if the raid isn't released within a couple weeks of day one, people are going to be mad, and it will be their own unreasonable expectations that caused the let down. Maybe it's all moot because the raid will be there. I just don't see any evidence that it will be.
-
I can totally see your point. I'm kinda expecting a raid to be there, but i won't be too disapointed if it isn't, because i'm not hyping myself up/setting way too high expectations anymore for any game i'm interested in.. Not after what happened with destiny. Sure i stuck around but just thinking about how disapointed i initially was still leaves a sour taste in my mouth. And after having a lot more fun with the little content i got in the alpha and the two betas of the division than i had in destiny for a while, i'm sure i can enjoy the game for what it will be/offer, whatever that may be. In the end the same thing that kept me playing destiny is gonna keep me playing the division: having a good time with great friends.

Hmm what was destiny end game after release? Challenge missions until the release of the raid am I correct? It's going to be almost the same system and if they take their time with the first division raid it will hopefully feel as good as vog. So long as they don't follow the system of getting progressively worse with raid designs. Wasn't a long wait for VoG mind you.

And more importantly, it wasn't a secret. And there were strikes and heroic strikes and nightfalls at release. Not just recycled story missions on heroic.
-
That's exactly what a heroic strike as well as the nightfall is they are both harder versions of a strike which is basically a longer mission. Also from what I have heard the 8 man division raid isn't a secret. You are raiding the Riker island prison. We have the exact amount of info that destiny gave us. Number of players location and enemy.
That's exactly what a heroic strike as well as the nightfall is they are both harder versions of a strike which is basically a longer mission.
Kind of, but not exactly. Missions are designed for solo or group play. The strikes were designed for group play and not a "mandatory" part of the leveling experience. Looking at The Division, the missions are designed for solo or group play. And you have to play through them to level. Similar, but not exactly the same.
lso from what I have heard the 8 man division raid isn't a secret. You are raiding the Riker island prison. We have the exact amount of info that destiny gave us. Number of players location and enemy.
Not even close to true. 1. Rikers is unconfirmed as a raid. It's just rumor right now. 2. At least a month before launch Bungie was talking about the raid. Massive hasn't done that at all other than confirm that they are "planning" something in the uncertain future. Maybe it will all turn out to be moot. Maybe the raid will be ready 2 weeks after launch. But they've said nothing to justify this belief.

Once you reach max level? You shouldn't be judging endgame based on a tiny beta. There will be 8 player raids and those won't be coming 3 months after release.

Bearbeitet von jay p: 2/24/2016 6:22:44 PMOf the two of us, you are the one speculating, not me. Raids are unconfirmed. Time for the release of the raid is unconfirmed. EDIT: you might be right. But it's speculation at this point and we are less than two weeks from release. It worries me.

I know i'm speculating, which can go either way. But you're the one judging the endgame based on the beta, which isn't a great thing to do. Here's an article i just found. Noteable are the quote of the director and the part about a dev mentionig a high level raid during the beta. Take it with a grain of salt though
