So I just got my exotic faction class item
I just finished the quest that gives you the exotic class item when you reach rank 25 of a faction. Mine was the new monarchy cloak. Been waiting for this moment for a long time. So right after I get the cloak, I change allegiance to dead orbit bc there's no reason to rank up NM after getting the ship and 4 shaders. [b]After I switched, I realise I need to be in NM for me to equip the cloak. [/b] How disappointed I was!! They should at least make it free to wear.... now I have to wait a whole week just to try out my new cloak wow great

Yeah it's been a few weeks now, all my characters factions were changed, no more fun spawns and awesome class armor. Next time I'll give it a couple weeks before I switch to the final 3

4 AntwortenI'm sticking to New Monarchy on my hunter mostly for the gear, god roll weapons etc.

3 AntwortenAs I see if you have 3 character slots and 3 factions. Ships and shaders transfer from kiosk to all characters. So pick one for each and go with it. As someone said before, why would you get to wear a factions highest reward with another faction?

4 AntwortenHaving to pledge to a faction to wear the class item doesn't bother me as much as the extremely underwhelming Dead Orbit spawn animation. Was trying to show someone the effect it creates and they had no clue what I was taking about. Had to find a video on YouTube with a side by side slow motion comparison.

Well, it does make a bit of sense. It increases NM rep and not any other faction. But you still should be able to wear it.

Congrats. I just got my NM one too during my last trials match. Now i will switch to DO and start working towards that one.

1 AntwortenThis was me few months ago... welcome to the club! lol If you are not in a hurry, do what I did. Just rank up your other faction and get the other exotic class item(s). No time wasted!

1 AntwortenI know right? That mechanic seems a bit counter intuitive. Solution: 1) allow faction exotic class items to be worn no matter what allegiance you have. Might not work with the lore but simplest solution. Or 2) having an exotic faction class item allows the player to re-enter that said faction without being confined by the 1 allegiance per week limitation. It's like a VIP membership that lets the faction always takes you back in their fold. So let's say you only have the DO exotic. You switch your allegiance to NM, but then you can switch back to DO anytime during the week. But then within that week you cannot change your allegiance again unless you have an exotic for other factions. I know that there might be potential exploits that some people might then flip around, gain rep, get reward package, then flip to the next faction. But hey if you are allowed to get more packages by playing the game, that player should be rewarded. My two cents.
