1 AntwortenThe weight of the stock is as important as the caliber when considering recoil. Wood stock higher caliber isn't as bad as synthetic stock in same caliber. Give them a youth shotgun. Then rifles don't feel too bad. Lol

2 AntwortenPellet/BB gun > 22 > 30-30 Kids should start out with BB guns, just learning the basics of owning a gun. If able to properly handle that responsibility they could upgrade to a small rifle or maybe a .410 I don't think a kids first hunt should be deer, start smaller than that.

1 AntwortenI'd get my child an RPG
-
A .22 rifle
-
Well a government m1911 has a suppressor and great accuracy

14 AntwortenBearbeitet von savage coco: 2/24/2016 12:12:44 AMI'd get my child a .22 Most people here were probably born in the city cause they are the ones saying kids shouldn't have a gun or to buy a nerg gun. If you have no experience with gun, then just don't reply. He asked a question on which gun out of the options were good, not for you to tell him not to do it (especially when you have no knowledge on the subject).

3 AntwortenHow about not giving a child a gun, this is why your schools keep getting shot up
-
Well, a BB gun, then a .22LR or 410. Once they hit about 14 I see no reasons anything of high caliber or gauge would be an issue. I had my first .308 at 15. Remington in fact.

.44 desert eagle or .357 He can run around pretending he's Rick Grimes from the Walking Dead, running around town shooting "zombies"
-
I started with a 410 growing up accurate, hardly any recoil great starter gun. from there went to a 270
-

After seeing one video on YouTube, give your chold a mac 10, but bring an instructor as he can watch your child shoot the gun in full auto and the recoil will bring the childs arms back while firing and .... well try and guess what happened
-
2 AntwortenI think a Barret .50 Cal would be perfect
-
Personally a rail gun would be good
-
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jcMDHKXhLAk you're doing it wrong. you're supposed to start em small(single shot or single-loaded round .22LR for basic safety/marksmanship fundamentals) then move on to the ol' "knock you on your ass prank" calibers. once they've mastered the .22 you can move up to a .22 semi-auto with full mag loads and so on. you know, train em to actually be a good shot(no flinching/bad habits) and safe before taking em hunting. for a kid, a .223 youth bolt gun with nice glass(you get what you pay for) and electronic ears(some are designed protect from loud noise and amplify natural hearing) would would probably be a good starting point for hunting assuming no caliber restrictions from your state's DNR. some places ban rifles or slugs for hunting deer or restrict under .30 cal, depends on where you are. your job to know that kinda stuff. also, new rem products (minus 1911s since those are all custom shopped from experienced 1911guys since WW1) are shit QC processed for the last decade. Do not buy new or ~post-'95 if you want reliable and accurate new production, you'd be better served by ruger or savage brand huntin rifles with a properly custom fitted youth stock for a child to use. any decent rifle-smith should be able to take physical measurements in their shop and do it for you
Id say to buy him a nuke

Bearbeitet von FL NIGHTMARE: 2/24/2016 3:25:41 PMGet one of those little .22 long rifles they make for kids. Also to clarify most people who give their children guns mean that they buy a firearm that is specifically for the child's use but the adult keeps the firearm unless it is currently in use

An air rifle maybe? Used to love shooting the one my grandad kept in his loft.
