No reason to have any other legendary gun. Other exotics for collection.
I also would like to add my 320 No Land Beyond on the list.
I forgot to mention the touch of malice and black spindle as some have mentioned. Yes I agree those are needed.

You only need these 8 guns to be successful. To be honest doctrine and black spindle are just nice to have you really don't have to have them.

Malice and spindle aren't needed at all and anyone who says otherwise is just bad. I like using different weapons all the time, crap for my kd but fun nonetheless.

Need? None of the above qualifies as a need, those weapons would qualify as the currently most commonly used and theoretically best preforming weapons. A number of raid groups will require ToM and Spindle but again I would say there are no "need" weapons.

Different exotics do different things. Games are for fun, so whether you need something or not doesnt matter. People seem to forget that we all play for fun, sometimes.
