Matchmaking Update - 2/19/2016
[b]Crucible Warriors,[/b]
[url=https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/192373140/0/0]Earlier this week[/url], we announced the deployment of new matchmaking settings intended to reduce lag and set you against opponents with a good connection. Feedback on performance has been positive, so we are continuing to make improvements. This is fine tuning. If you enjoyed the new settings we deployed on Wednesday, it's likely you'll still have a good time.
Testing of new settings will continue throughout this weekend in [b]Control[/b]. Get in there and sample the level of competition, as well as the gameplay quality. Be sure to tell us what you think. Even if all you do is play, the data you're feeding us is golden.
Our goals are still to provide some good, clean, stable fun that can be enjoyed by players at every skill level - even if they play on the same team. It's a delicate balance to strike. Thanks for your continued participation in the process.

Holy crap, you guy suck at managing the multiplayer in this game. All the nerfs and matchmaking decisions are terrible. Be ashamed of yourself, please, because the multiplayer experience of Halo 2 and 3 was fantastic. Desiny is completely social, that means no win/loss skill ranking system, mind you, so there is absolutely no reason to have SBMM.

1 AntwortenDear Bungie, fix your game. It was much better before all these recent changes. In my first match after the "fix" my crucible experience was so bad that my wife (who does not play) said... "If you're gonna get that frustrated when you play you will have to play when we aren't around... We [my wife and kids] don't want to listen to you like that. You never used to be like that when you played, ever. What changed." Thanks Bungie for making the game frustrating enough so that I can't actually play when my family is around. Awesome social experience you have artificially created. But don't worry, as my NF tier reward during doubles I recieved was the tantrum emote... I told my wife I will just use that emote instead of yelling at the TV. But lately, it's just hard not too be upset with the experience. And the RNG in iron banner and KF challenge mode does not reward the players who complete them with every character. My example is, as of this posting, I completed iron banner (level 5) with all of my characters... 2/3 of my most recent rewards were useless. They were far below my light level... And I still need to upgrade my class items. My highest class item light is 316 (I have 5 316's.... Thanks to sparrow racing) my rewards were 316 bellows w 312 and 311 class items. Thanks. And that leads me to my next issue, I have completed war priest challenge mode with each character each time it was available (except for the first time... I only completed it with 2 characters). I have been rewarded with only one 320 special... Is that because I do too much damage, or because RNG is broken... Either way... Bungie fix your game!!!

The settings been pretty good so far. 1 out of 6 games was laggy for me. And for the most part the games were really close, so most the time the team were evenly matched.

People dying a couple seconds after I kill them, so I'm not sure who is really dead and who isn't. Also, you need to reevaluate how you do Trials in terms of MM too. I know that you want people to be matched up with people with the same win total to make it competitive, but it's killing the game in terms of connection. Played 3 matches in a row on Friday where the other team was all Red. In all 3 matches, one of their teammates got dropped. It worked in our favor, but still that's BS. Lag benefits no one. Connection should be the highest (only?) priority. Losing to someone better is much more fun than losing to someone you can't kill cause they take no damage or teleport all over the map.

Apparently you made control a little more CONNECTION based, that's bullsh*t, I've been getting lag nearly every game I play of control and I go up against sweaty clans 2/3 games, paired with people on the other side of the earth, you guys have too much of a hard on for SBMM, higher KD players like myself are suffering big time, it's all fair for lower KD players but I don't think I speak for myself only when I say I'm not enjoying PVP anymore Basically the only way for me to enjoy PVP is start a new character and keep him at 1kd or lower so I actually get CONNECTION based gameplay orr go into a deficit of 25,000 kills with my main character so that my KD is average or below average so I can enjoy PVP? I've never been one to care about KD but it's fcking lame that higher KD means shit loads of lag, waiting times and going up against crucible world championship sweaty ass players, funny thing is that even average KD players complain about lag and sweat fest LOL

1 AntwortenQuestion: in SBMM, does its evaluation go by the account/average or the character? My hunter is 1.05kd, my titan 1.11kd and my Warlock is 1.34kd. Just curious, to know whether i'll get sweaties constantly or less on one character?

6 AntwortenIt's beyond me how you actually managed to make the crucible even worse by "making it slightly more connection based". You can swap out your sand box team and replace them with retarded pigs and the crucible would work much better for everyone. Everything was fine before TTK. Now it's really starting to look like you purposly are trying to ruin your own game.

Feedback has been positive? Haha that's funny. I'm no expert but what I do is read here. All is see is people having lag. Not since a week or a month, no since day 1. And you clowns still have no solution. It's almost pathetic to see what you say and do. Do you really think people believe you or take you serious? So many promises, I think people had enough. 0 likes says it all. That's the number of players you will have in a year.

1 AntwortenTrials match making is messed up completely. I'm not the best pvp player but have been to the lighthouse a few times. My suggestion is, there should be separate matchmaking for those that have been to the lighthouse in that week for that character. Allows those who haven't gone yet to play those that haven't gone. And pits the best at PVP v the best at PVP.

[u]The Bad[/u] •Red bars posing as green bars •Blinking enemies while they are still grounded •Delayed kills/deaths(I killed a titan than two seconds later that same titan killed me with his foh) •People teleporting behind me [u]The Good[/u] •3v3 playlist was alot better in terms of connection and skill level [u]Conclusion[/u] •I am very worried about Iron Banner this week •Whatever formula you had Friday and Saturday was alot better than Sun-Mon •Why can we just go back to cbmm?

6 AntwortenNew connection experience: 1. Green Bar lag 2. Dead Guardians comes back to life, killed my team mate and went back to dead. No, they are not Sun Locks. 3. Hyper teleporter that i've to estimate where the enemy might and spray.. if lucky i can kill the laggy enemy. 4. Heavy Ammo cannot be opened up and enemy team already gotten their heavy and heading to my still locked Heavy Ammo. Pardon me, what is the main concern of not having 100% connection based?? Its torture to play in the above conditions..

Reduce lag?? It's worse than ever! Without exaggeration, each game I went in to the last few days, there were at least two red bars. And some of the green bars showed lag issues as well. I live in Belgium, would reckon there's enough other players in Europe to go up against... But this new algorithm puts me in matches with people from the US?? Saw someone from DoD Phoenix yesterday... Connection isn't being factored in as far as I can tell. It's really not fun playing this way. Kills you know you should get, only register after the lagging opponent kills you first... No way I'm gonna put time into IB this way.

Still unbelievably broken. Every other match I'm up at least one player who's teleporting everywhere. Last night it was a titan disappearing and bouncing all around the screen every time I got near him. He then became invisible when he started throwing hammers. I didn't even bother taking a video, just shut the system straight off. Can't wait for IB today... ಠ_ಠ
