99% of cops aren't "good cops"!
99% of cops are crooked lying dirty shitbags, even cops who don't actually break the laws are watching silently as others around them do. With the exception of the CSPOA, there are no good cops, if a cop is so damn good how can he/she continue working in an environment filled with corruption and do absolutely nothing about it, violating their oath of honor to uphold and protect the constitution? By default, they are bad cops as well. Private police forces are the most corrupt, and generally employ the most cops with blanketed jackets for corruption and abuse of power.

16 AntwortenHere's what I like to do. Think of a group that you personally don't like or trust (doesn't matter how the group is determined, race, sex, religion, age, political leanings, job choice, you name it). Then ask yourself a couple of questions. Do I know of any person from that group by name? Do they know me by name? Have I ever had a meal with this person with whom we at least know each other's name? Would I have a meal with this person? Would I invite them into my home to have that meal? Would I be able to, or want to, speak with them about anything/everything during and after that meal? If the time spent together was enjoyable, would I invite them again or accept an invite from them? If you can't answer yes to any or all of those questions, that's fine. But if you do answer yes to them, the last question is "why haven't you?" Because what I have found in my personal experience, is that until you sit down, share a meal, have a conversation and agree to do it again with someone? Then you don't know shit about them and your preconceptions about them may be completely baseless. I've had meals with people from nearly every religion, from many places in the world, with whom I had thought we shared nothing in common. But sitting down, having a quiet talk over good food? That opens my eyes, and sometimes theirs. People need to share more meals with people who are different.

I mean, for just 50¢ a day, you can end world hunger; but do you even try? I mean, you could argue that it's not your job to end world hunger, but if you were a Red Cross member, and you did the best and most efficient job that you could, you still wouldn't be able to end it, it's just a problem that's too big and too over-your-head. Not saying it can't be solved, but it would require a lot of dedication and a lot of effort from many people.
