Snipers...

As most of you already know, snipers are currently the strongest secondary weapon in the crucible. According to Destiny Trials Report, 77.11% of the total special weapon kills during Trials of Osiris last week were sniper kills. That's triple shotguns, sidearms and fusion rifles combined. I am not here to bitch about aim assist (I actually understand how it works) or to invent new mechanics such as scope sway. Here are a few suggestions which I feel would help to bring snipers in line with the other special weapons: 1. Increase the recoil on snipers for all stability values. This would make landing those disgusting double taps a bit more difficult. 2. Slower reload speeds for all reload stat values. This would force snipers to take cover when reloading and therefore prevent them from holding down a line of sight if they miss a few shots. 3. Slower ADS speed for all snipers.This would make performing mlg quickscopes much more difficult. 4. Slower movement speed when scoped in. This would make it harder to strafe and avoid enemy fire when lining up your shot. 5. Reduced body shot damage for all impact values. This would encourage people to aim for the head and not just body shot and tap with last word or mida. 6. Slower readying speeds for all snipers. This would make it more difficult to pull out your sniper and get a lucky quickscope if you empty the mag of your primary weapon. I have not provided any detailed numbers for these suggestions as I do not know how much the stats would need to be changed in order to achieve balance. I do not want snipers overnerfed and broken. These changes should be applied in pvp only, snipers in pve should be unaffected.
