Lead writer for Mass Effect: Andromeda Chris Schlerf is joining bungie as a part of their creative team! I can't wait to see what he will do with the lore of the Destiny universe.
If the story has the same punch the taken king had we can only hope for great things. So much talent at bungie I hope they pull off something epic!
What do y'all think of the hire?
Edit: I think this has already been posted in the comments but here's the proof for those asking.

2 AntwortenMass Effect 3. Remember THAT?

13 AntwortenDid mass effect 3 have the worst ending ever?

I expect it will be like when the well-regarded Nolan North re-voiced Ghost: a major crapstorm will erupt in these forums. Some people will have nice things to say, others will have awful things to say, and the latter will be the loudest and most obnoxious.

Bearbeitet von Dooodley: 2/16/2016 6:35:24 PMGargh, you forgot to mention that he also acted as the senior witer on Halo 4, the game that killed the franchise. This cannot be good. It does correlate with every decision Bungie has made post- Halo though.

Not sure if this is good or bad new...

Too little, too late. RIP to a game with a limitless future that blew it in the present before that future could ever happen.
-
I hope this turns out well, I respect this writer but am a little sad Andromeda might suffer though
-
Hmmm ... Mixed feelings.

This does give me hope.....considering the fact that we still have somewhere between 2 and 4 more full destiny installments....not including dlc....so if they don't try to screw us over every chance they get the series/story still has a chance to do.....something....

Bearbeitet von GOAT Spartan: 2/16/2016 6:36:17 PMHope for great things........ What more content that was all ready ripped out of the base game that we all ready paid for and have to repay for it again??? This whole game was proven to be a scam fan boy!!! I guess you dont pay attention to gaming news do ya? Well let me educate you and hit you with the truth: Marty o'donnel, the genius behind halo's and destiny's music, was fired without reason once destiny had released and took bungie to court that ended last summer. He kicked the living shit out of em, he won big! Why is this important? Well its important because he didnt just prove he got fired without reason, he also proved that the DLC we've been getting was gutted content that we all ready paid for and was used as DLC to maximize profit numbers! He also proved that people like him and Joseph statin are people who care more for their work rather than a fat paycheck. He also proved that bungie is being run by a bunch of douche bags. Marty is getting royalty checks out the ass, thats the only reason why they put micro transactions into the game because marty is wrecking their profits, like we all should be doing! Most, if not all, of the original team has left to go work on halo because who wants to be apart of a once great company that would rather jump on the corporate band wagon and rip people off.

6 AntwortenSo what you're saying is at the end of the next expansion we'll get to pick a Red, Blue, or Green ending?
-
2 AntwortenSoo, Destiny is going to be mostly cutscenes and little action?
-
As cool as it sounds, this game is like the Traveler. It was dying when Destiny was made, and was unable to properly recover because the devs are siphoning it's Light (which is the main name for the whole load that hit the fan). Only sure-fire way to save Destiny is by destroying its Dark Heart (i.e. Puke Smith).

Bearbeitet von Sanctus Michael: 2/16/2016 5:57:15 PMI think it doesn't matter if the administration, the "bosses", apply an abundance of restrictions on the writer's creativity. Even if the writer has developed a really good story, with great story flow and has a story board involving character depth and a lot of activities, if later the administration hacks it to pieces and cuts content. Has.... has that ever happened before? I can't remember.

Maybe now I'll understand what is going on in the game.

2 AntwortenBearbeitet von Obi Poe Kenobi: 2/16/2016 5:25:56 PMPersonally I thought the story was just fine before Taken King. However I read the Grimoire. I felt the Taken King is trying to satisfy the 8 to 14 year old demographic because Cayde made me not ever want to be a Hunter. Gameplay is the only good thing this game has going for it.

5 AntwortenTaken King story? I still don't understand what the hell is going on in this game. A good story typically has a good, broad base of understanding from which everything else can evolve. This game does not have that. It just has things happening, none of them connected, at least not very well. The central characters aren't fleshed out at all, in fact Im not even sure if there are any. Is there a main threat? Are there lots of threats? What are they threatening? Is there a time urgency? None of this is detailed or explained....we just have random stuff that's happening. In a good story you can answer all of this within a matter of minutes. Go ahead, try and tell the story of Destiny and make it sound coherent, with a natural flow. What this game has is good game play elements. Some cool weapons, a variety of weapons and armor that you can pair in different ways to compliment different play styles, some decent challenges, good world building, fun subclasses that compliment each other, but story....? Nope.

Oh great, now we will really have rainbows in Destiny.

3 AntwortenI wouldn't get your hopes up. Between Ray Muzyka, Greg Zeschuk, Casey Hudson leaving after three and both Chris Wynn and Chris Schlerf resigning at this point in Mass Effect: Andromeda's (it's pretty much done and in QA) existence means the game is atrocious. Really makes me sad; BioWare was my favorite studio for decades and Mass Effect my favorite franchise but they no longer really exist anymore.

*walks out the second he sees the games "story line" because it's beyond recovery.

14 AntwortenThe one who wrote the sorrow amd hive cards should not do it anymore, never saw such creepy confusing shit. Just badly done imo

Bearbeitet von Guardian2977: 2/16/2016 5:20:28 PMHopefully they learn from their mistakes and make Destiny 2 something epic--like how the original was hyped to be. The lore is there. The mansion is ready to be furnished properly. Activision, don't F U C K I T U P!!
