Lead writer for Mass Effect: Andromeda Chris Schlerf is joining bungie as a part of their creative team! I can't wait to see what he will do with the lore of the Destiny universe.
If the story has the same punch the taken king had we can only hope for great things. So much talent at bungie I hope they pull off something epic!
What do y'all think of the hire?
Edit: I think this has already been posted in the comments but here's the proof for those asking.

He left because he knows he could do .04% of the work and make more money with Bungie by money throwing numb nuts.
-
3 AntwortenStill doesnt fix LACK of content. Hire MORE -blam!-ing people in general and start pumping shit out dammit
-
3 AntwortenHis name was Marauder/shields. He died trying to save us. Never forget.

8 AntwortenBearbeitet von CookieNiki: 2/18/2016 7:17:11 PMToo little, too late. EDIT: I thought it was for the current game but now I know it's for Destiny 2. My comment above is, therefore, out of context. Sorry for that :)

It's a love hate thing, yes it may enahnce Destiny but Mass Effect (especially 2) is my all time favorite game series
-
5 AntwortenTaken kings story wasn't very incredible though. I hope they really do something with the destiny universe.
-
That's not a great thing, honestly I'd prefer mass effect to be a good game, destiny is already -blam!-ed.
-
If this is true I can't wait because the mass effect franchise are my favorite games
-
2 AntwortenDoesn't mean anything. It far too late to save this game. The Destiny name is tarnished. What a colossal waste of potential this game had.
-
5 AntwortenDid some digging...as in a Google search. Guys only done 2 things, Halo 4 and Mass Effect Andromeda. One of those things hasn't even come out yet... Sooooo..... I have no strong feelings one way or the other.
-
It doesn't matter destiny is just a beta for destiny 2 now :(
-
9 AntwortenEven someone from an amazing game series like Mass Effect cant fix Destiny.
-
Honestly, no one has seen Andromeda - it would be more accurate to say "one of the lead writers for Halo 4 is coming to Bungie." It gives a little more relevance - but in any case, he's a welcome talent.
-
1 AntwortenAndromeda looks like a turkey, if it was the guys who wrote the proper mass effect games (baring last 20mins which was rubbish) id be excited
-
2 AntwortenHe needs to walk right in the office Royal Rumble style and just start giving anyone he sees a Stone Cold Stunner
-
That is absolutely amazing news!!!! Massive victory for Bungie right there.... Mass Effect 2 was one of the greatest games ever!!!
-
Activision still owns this game so story will be choppy dlc/micro transactions
-
16 AntwortenNo matter how gifted he is...you can't polish a turd!
-
5 AntwortenThis doesn't change destiny. Who cares about the story. The biggest problem is the lack of content not the damn story
-
I had a moment of pure horror when I thought i was going to click on this link and see the name Mac Walters.
-
1 AntwortenLets hope activision gives him some freedom, im certain that activision is behind the content drought and cuts. -blam!- YOU ACTIVISION, I HATE YOU ALL
-
Looks like Pete Parsons is getting serious about fixing this shit. Hope it goes well.

3 AntwortenBearbeitet von Senor Crouch: 2/17/2016 8:10:08 AMWell considering Bungie had one of the greatest writers in the industry before they basically fired him, I'm going to speculate that Bungie did not hire Chris Schlerf for his talent as a storywriter. Maybe he's just as talented as the Guardians at taking orders.

4 AntwortenBearbeitet von JimmyTheHand: 2/17/2016 12:05:52 PMJust to clarify, Chris Schlerf had nothing to do with the Mass Effect Trilogy. He was only brought on board for Andromeda to head the writing team. Prior to this he worked on Halo 4. Now I haven't played Halo 4, but I will say I thought the original Halo stories were incredibly generic space marine scifi so honestly I don't think you can equate the greatness that was the Mass Effect Trilogy to Destiny as we will have to wait until Andromeda to see what he's done with this or someone could fill me in on what they thought of the Halo 4 story. Either way it's not Drew Karpyshyn (not sure that's spelt correctly) or Mac Walters who lead the teams for the trilogies.

1 AntwortenI don't see why thats good, he didn't write for any of the original trilogy and the only other work mentioned was Halo 4 which was mediocre and generic at best.
