Viking funeral needs removing, anyone who says otherwise is an idiot. However it won't get removed, because when bungie nerfs things they don't do it properly because they don't play their own game, they destroy things. So once firebolts are overnerfed just like arcbolts were, fusion grenades will be used, and they ARE worse than firebolts.

If you think grenades are the only thing Sunsingers have going for them then you're playing the class wrong :( Almost every competitive person I know is willing to admit that the subclass needs some balancing. 14 second dots that can cooldown in half a minute and take almost all your health away taking you entirely out if the fight lest you stub your toe and burn out... yeah undeniably in need of balancing. No, I'm not raging and no not whining. Constructive feedback can actually be delivered in a calm and respectful way. And that kind of feedback is necessary for promoting a well balanced and dynamic but diverse experience down the road.

Lol I love how everyone's using PvP in their rants against Sunsinger yet, Warlocks get yelled at if they don't run it in Raid or Nightfall. Nerf it too hard and guess what? No crutch for your Raids and Nightfalls. Be mindful on where you throw your Nerf stick and how hard.

Dude, when you can casually toss a grenade and almost kill another team in elimination, WHEN ONE GRENADE CAN DO MORE THAN 500 COLLECTIVE DAMAGE!!!!!!!!! You need to stop for a moment, catch your breath, count to ten, and say that it is broken.

It does not. Increased armor during super, self-res/more armor/teammates get super, and Melees deal increased damage. Grenades do play a part of super but are not the only aspect or benefit. For Neutral: Solar grenades for objectives, Firebolt (upgraded Arcbolt) for killing enemies you can't see, and Fusion to guarantee a kill. Flame shield to win close range battles or to escape, Knockback to keep shotguns away, or exploding enemies to clear crowds. All of the other perks choose between grenades, melee, or Super. This class is very well rounded when it comes to neutral and Super game. Having the Firebolts (as broken as they are) along with touch of flame and Viking funeral is very very OP. The class in general is fine, but when there is a meta for a class setup, there is something wrong. The only thing that needs to be fixed is Friebolts along with Viking Funeral. The grenade is a avoidable and the burn deals 180 damage. This allows for any primary to one shot kill the (up to 3) victims. This is a round win in trials and half a team in a normal game mode. There is no other grenade that can do this. It's sister grenade of Arcbolt, deals anywhere from 20-80 damage. Two of these will not kill any guardian with full health, while 2 non burn Firebolts will kill any guardian with full health. This grenade also didn't receive a range nerf like the Arcbolt did. Now it's a hit or miss if the Arcbolt hits, chains, and deals appropriate damage. Firebolt will always hit, hit multiple targets, and deal appropriate damage. All I have to say now is, why did Arcolt get nerfed to hell, when Firebolts are the same as Year 1? Arcbolts got nerfed for a reason, now it's about time Firebolts get the same. Now for Viking Funeral. DoT can be related to Thorn. Thorn was OP because of its DoT only. So, They nerfed the time, number of ticks, and damage of each tick. Granted, this new thorn is more balanced than the first, but it still is very OP. To fix this, the DoT needs to be unstackable and needs to go away when the inflicter dies. Another fix would be to base the length of time on the inflicted recovery. Now for Viking Funeral, my suggestion was to make the perk also reduce the damage per tick but still math overall damage as without. Also, the burn should diminish when the warlock dies. This would still cause the perk to keep the enemy wounded for longer, but would prevent the enemy from being able to be killed by one shot from a primary. This fix would not ruin Viking Funeral as it would still be a strategic option instead of spam Firebolts and get multiple kills. Other than this, the only option is to reduce the damage to 3 damage per tick for Viking and Non Viking and reduce the overall time the burn is in effect. Like I said, the subclass is fine and is at per with other Subclasses. The only problem is one grenade, and one ability. Fix these and be done with it. Nothing else needs to be done to Sunsingers. I will agree I am sick of people saying Sunsingers need to be killed to the ground, but Sunsingers do need to be looked at and not ignored. All classes should be viable and there shouldn't be a meta for Skill Trees. Right now, everyone is either abusing the broken turning mechanics of shoulder charge, or spamming Firebolt nades as a Warlock. This shows there is a problem. Please just fix it, and we will slowly come back to ballence in Crucible. Just take it one step at a time instead of changing everything. That's when everything gets messed up.
