My son, who has no Xbox account of his own, has watched me play destiny wide eyed since the Beta, recently expressed his desire to create his own character and try.
Sure, I could've created an account for him, or done a thousand different things. But I'd rather see his happy expression when he plays his new Exo, than have a warlock I hardly ever play.
Am I stupid? Probably.
Am I a sentamentalist? Probably.
Was it worth it? Definitely.
Why'd I share this?
Destiny is a lot of different things for a lot of different people. But for one moment, it was something that made my son and I smile.
And that's what it's really all about.
NOTE: I know not everyone will understand or agree, or there will be those that can point out the hundred different ways I could have done this. If you're going to insult, be rude, etc. all you're going to get is blocked. So please, if you don't like this one, just move on.
And....done.
To all of you with kind words, suggestions or those that appreciate the fact I was trying to share some good with others, I thank you. You are the reason why I continue to play Destiny.
And to all of you that chimed in with insults, various slurs and derogatory comments about me seeking attention, I thank you as well. Because you've reminded me of the ignorance, hate and malice that consumes those trolling the forums, and I also remember know why I don't approach others in good faith for adventuring, raiding or anything for that matter, in the world of Destiny.

This was dumb. Title sounds like it has a negative connotation. And body makes it seems like you're the nicest person ever. It's not like you really lost anything other than xp. Get over yourself bra

No one cares lame
-
Hope you at least saved the gear off it...
-
Good job sir family first

Bearbeitet von Vantitas: 2/15/2016 5:54:08 AMIt's your account. Therefore, you can do whatever you want to do with it at the end of the day if you ask me.

Nothing wrong with that but if you're on Xbox one the gold is shared with all accounts on the same Xbox for future reference.

Today I deleted my lvl 38 hunter to restart it. For the first one I started with the Bladedancer subclass, bad idea. I decided to restart it, but as a Gunslinger. Some might say "you should've just upgraded it", but I think restarting gives me something to do and is easier.
-
Sure buddy. We know you're just one of these guys who wanted three hunters or something.
-
At least you kept the hunter
-
I hope you made him a Titan

1 AntwortenFirst off that's awesome. Bringing the next generation of Guardians into destiny along with the enjoyment you two will have is definitely worth it. However, I question why didn't you just make a separate account under your XBlive account for him? That way you guys could both have three classes?
-
Just make him a new account.

Good on you. I had to remake my Titan cause my nephew deleted it so I did, that is now the character he uses when he comes over and plays. He loves it.
-
You ar my hero. Give this man an emblem.
-
It's not stupid at all to delete that character for your son to have his own. Plus when he hits lvl 40 he will have a bunch of cool gear to equip.
-
you do realise that if you are on xbox one that you can create a new live account and he could have 3 of his own characters and you wouldn't have had to delete any??!
-
2 AntwortenI'm not sure I understand the underlying purpose for this kind of post.
-
The only issue I see is that you made him a hunter. :)
-
That's great!
-
I honestly hope this isn't fake and if it isn't, this is really cool, and makes me happy. Good parenting man.
-
You're the reason why I still play this game...
-
But... now... you... have... three... hunters...
-
Good job bruv. Btw, what's his age?
-
I deleted my level 40 hunter to start an exo hunter.... Playing it right now
-
Nice one dude. I did the same thing pre TTK just so my son could make someone. I now have a multi coloured exo titan haha.
