year 2 players pretend to be year 1 players?
Every raid I check grimoires, I never say anything but I can definitely tell a year one player from a year two one. Either way I always like to say something about the old raids like "remember the good old days when you needed heavy ammo and you'd pull out the ice breaker and empty your ammo"
And I'm always answered with a reluctant "oh yeah good times" or something along those lines xD it makes me laugh.
Anyways have you guys found a lot of year 2 players lying about things?
What's some funny things year 2 players have said to you?
Edit: there's a couple people getting salty, I didn't mean it as an insult I just think it's funny that people lie about being year 1 is all. If you're good you're good that's all there is to it.

1 AntwortenYear 2 noob genuinely told me he got a Fatebringer and a Vex Mythoclast from Vault normal mode, checked their completions and stats, 1 character at level 40, 270 light, grimoire of 2200 and one completion of the Vault on hard mode, went into a bit more detail of the run and my word the carry was real, he managed 48 kills through the whole thing. See I don't mind year 2 players, just not ones that lie to try impress year 1 players, were not thick, we can see straight through the bullshit you put up trying to impress us. Instead of lying why not prove your worth with your game skill, then when year 3 and 4 comes around and a year 3 noob comes along you can treat them the same way when they inevitably go a lie to impress. Year 1 players went through some serious shit, we figured it all out, learnt it all and spread the word for everyone else to do it with ease in year 2, so when a year 2 player or a new players comes in acting like they know it all ... Just remember you only know it all because of all the shit we went through in year 1.

grimoire does not mean you're not a yr 1 player, my mate has 3.3k and he's played the game since day 1, he does not play a lot of pve and that's why it's low.

5 AntwortenI’m a day one player and I’m pretty crap, does it truly matter that much too some people? Not the ones that matter I would guess. It’s just a game, not a way of life but you keep checkin' and policing the grimoire cards anyway! If you’re good you’re good and if you’re not then a good team will help you.

Year 2 players are the minority from my experience, 90% of all players I have met after ttk are year1 players. Anyway, when do you think I joined the game?

Im kinda year 1...i legit joined the week xur sold ghorn and then ttk came out...but i just say im year 2...im not ashamed either...i was just late to the game...but i do know how to run the old raids (except last part of vog) and do most of the older strikes...

1 AntwortenYea I was running vault of glass yesterday and this guy kept insisting he ran it before, but said he forget the whole raid, he kept thinking we where done (open door, oracles Templar and gatekeeper) at all these stage thought he was done, pretty clear he never ran it before, just wish people would say so, I don't mind running new guys through it (ad asked for people no matter how many runs) but pretending you do when you don't is just annoying, [spoiler]anyone doubt I was year one feel free to check my warlock special, it rains supreme[/spoiler]

2 AntwortenLol joined a hard lfg raid with an alt at 312. As I join the chat, I hear "he's a bit low, maybe find someone else?" Then another says "wow look at his grimore score! Leave him, he's okay" My grimore is not that high (compared to many week one veterans). They were all yr2 but still good players.

It's not what they say it's what they ask for, I was doing the NTTE quest on xbox when it 1st dropped and was looking for a group to do atheon normal, I went on the forums and was met with posts asking for 310+ light... I was thinking to myself the raid is level 26 wdf lol? So I thought -blam!- it and joined to get it done, Were on atheon and as people get teleported inside I start to unload my black spindle into atheon doing damage as there destroying oracles inside, I was met with what sounded like a cat getting strangled, A little kid no more than 13 yelling at me that I'm going to enrage atheon by damaging him without times vengeance.... Uhm yeaahhhh safe to say I orbited so damn fast and I was just sitting there in disbelief.

I'm a year one player but I've got low grimoir, people say I'm a year 2 noob all the time then I look deeper into the stats and I've pretty much always played longer than them. Grimoir means nothing.

raid with random people failed 3 time at oracle everyone running around the map except me icebreaker and VoC on the back then got a message that says that i need to go down

Have been playing since November of 2014 my grim score is as such because I don't care enough to hunt down the items needed to get my grim up. Don't care doesn't prove anything other than how much grind and time someone cared to endure in this game. Grim score much like light level has very very very little to do with how good a player is or how well that person communicates during raids or other playlists. So in the end.... Who gives a flying rats ass

4 AntwortenMy girlfriend got the game October right after TTK came out. She already has higher grimoire than the majority of year 1 players. To add insult to injury she beat Bungie during SRL Bungie bounties which means her emblem is more rare than 99.9% of year 1 players. My point being do not judge a book by there cover.

11 AntwortenYear two players don't get it... They think they have it rough with snipers, shotguns and supers? The Pre nerf nerf nerf or better known as Vex meta was ridiculous 2 shots to kill, and the Sepiks strike... Haunts me to this day. Year two is water compared to 151 proof whiskey year one.

22 AntwortenWhat does checking grimore have to do with anything? I'm a week one player with less than 4K grim. I work on the road and most hotels have shit wifi so I don't get to play sometimes for weeks. You just sound like another idiot who's forgotten this is only a video game that should be enjoyed it doesn't matter wtf people do or say...
