My parents think I'm too thin so they won't let me participate in Track and Field. Is that wrong, or are they right?

No? They've obviously have never been to a track and field meet before. You're of perfect weight and height to compete.
-
1. Being skinny doesnt hurt in track and field. In fact, it might help. Kenyans are skinny too 2. Dont go out for the football team. You might literally get killed
-
2 AntwortenIm 13, 6'0 and 148. U r skinny.

1 AntwortenYes. Also too short. Honestly it's time to consider shin breaking and stretching.

1 AntwortenWith weight, your fine. Your parents, I don't know about them. I'm 5'2, almost 13, and 90-something pounds and I'm still going to do track in the spring.

-
5'7" and 140

That seems like a pretty healthy weight for your height and age. I mean I'm 5'10" and 135 and i'm 19 so you're probably the same shape as me
-
Heh. I was about that size. One year later I gained 50 pounds and got to 6'1.
-
1 AntwortenI'm the exact same size, but I'm 16 and I'm doing track and field right now. I think you should be able to at least try it, you might be good at something you didn't know about
-
5 AntwortenDon't ask me I'm a fat ass redneck virgin
-
I could see where your parents were coming from if you were playing football or some other contact sport, but track? You should be more than fine.
-
6'1" and 160

1 AntwortenI'm 5'11 and weigh 114 pounds with clothes on. Get on my level

2 AntwortenI'm 5'10", 17 years old, and 135ish pounds. Don't worry about it
-

1 AntwortenThat's probably the perfect weight for track. Especially long distance.
