So we have another "Special Event" during which Bungie hopes to make a bunch of real money off of Silver purchases, because they don't have time to actually create new game content of significance anymore. If you don't want to force them to actually do something meaningful, then by all means throw money at your TV screens once again; you all can make Luke (self-proclaimed Ass-Hat) Smith an even richer "genius" for taking more money from the kiddies without actually doing anything with the game!
Once again this event is PVP-based, but unlike the last event, you must form a fireteam to play this one since there is no matchmaking for this non-ranked, e.g., light levels are normalized, PVP "Special Event". We can't even play it one-versus-two if we preferred doing that to finding a "partner".
Bungie, you should be endeavoring to include as many players as possible in all activities instead of preventing people from being able to play them at all! Is your objective to see just how fast you can drive away players? If you turn on the lights and it is still dark Bungie, then try removing your head from your ass and perhaps you will see the light!
This is yet another FU to the solo players from Bungie; to whom I say back, FU too!
Edit for the Ninjas:
FU = Feel Undesired
Edit2 for the "SaltShakers"
I never said I was a solo player, but you of course don't really care about the facts or the topic of discussion...
Why anybody feels the need to criticize anybody else for asking about a feature that has no negative impact whatsoever on those that do not use it, but that is of benefit to some subset of players, is beyond comprehension. So, because you don't need it, those that might are somehow the problem to you even though it being provided would have absolutely zero effect on you?
Only a self-centered ignoramus would deprive others of a benefit that has no effect on them whatsoever if provided. To be insulting to those that do need it, or to those that have empathy for those that do, is even worse. If this is how the majority of young people view the world today, then the future is dim for more than just Destiny I'm afraid...
Edit for the azzholes:
I knew I would see you here! :)
2 AntwortenNot only on solos, when poe and trials came out 6 man crews had to break up and now they are forcing it to be brought down to 2 people....

War on casuals

6 Antwortenfunny how you say this event revolves around bungie making $ from Silver, yet them only added 2 or 3 new emotes for silver. They're gonna be rolling in $$ now. lol
-
+1 bonus point for telling it how it is, +1 bonus point for using the word "ignoramus"

All too often man. Right now I'm struggling to find a partner for this new event. Another pvp event. One I can't even just friggen play and get beat down in just because ya know? I'm so tired of trying to find new people to constantly play with. Some people aren't -blam!-ing social and it ruins the gaming experience. Sorry this is the only -blam!-ing game I play. -blam!- your concept for a shared world shooter. I should still be able to solo most of this -blam!-ing game.
-
Just for clarification, exactly what are they selling for this game mode other than a couple of emotes?
-
Wat r freelance

18 AntwortenUh, how is this trying to grab cash? The new emotes? Okay, they added 4, 2 of which seem to be liked by the community, the other 2 it's kinda love it or hate it. There is no silver transaction involved with crimson doubles. You seem a little confused, there is a bigger update coming sometime after February that's supposed to be the biggest since ttk launched. Chill. Do you cry when your parents can't entertain you 24/7?

3 AntwortenThe fact that they released Destiny, which has such a huge emphasis on making groups, without some kind of way to find a group in the game, just shows how inept they are. Warframe is F2P and has its problems, but it just makes Destiny look shameful.
-
9 AntwortenSo, instead of going on a website look for people and make friends to play the game with, people go on the forums and bitch about there being no matchmaking. -blam!- me the amount of logic I see.
-
1 AntwortenThis game is soo much more fun when playing with a friend/others. That's how I'm still here.

100% agree!!!

15 AntwortenBearbeitet von jlemale_fr: 2/10/2016 10:44:02 AMIn a game like Destiny having no friends is a shame really. And an indicator that you are not very good. But I'm sure there are always exceptions.

Anyone trying to defend Bungie on this should remember, It's bad manners to speak with your mouth full. No- don't reply-you'll spill it.
-
I'll agree with you. IB Rift had waves of solo fans pissed and now this V-day crap. Bored as hell, I figured I would look into the new event which requires 2 players. All of my friends are long gone from this game, leaving me with LFG to try and find someone who's not a total ass. I 've got a 10% chance of success.

Bearbeitet von spankingCane: 2/10/2016 1:00:54 PMThe disappointment was real ...looking forward to flipping on the station and playing some new destiny content even if it was just new quests/bounties Rushed to tower swiped up the new bounties ....made orbit, clicked destination DOUBLES ....fml not another access denied Spend ages wasting time on here looking for a partner ...and when I got one he didnt have a mic ,we won half our matches anyway ...so was just the same as match making but I have to prat about on my phone begging for a team mate 😡

4 AntwortenWasn't the Sparrow Racing a solo event?
-
It's completely dumb to not include MM in this playlist.
-
1 AntwortenI'm bummed the bounties took the weekly pvp bounties spot mainly. Can't solo that weekly reward this week. Kind of lame.
-
Absolutely agree. No matchmaking = not playing.
-
Bearbeitet von Gaheris: 2/10/2016 4:01:53 AMNot only the event is small, short and underwhelming but Bungie had to exclude matchmaking from it. This is a joke. I didn't even logged in after the update. And won't even play the event at all. I'd give it a shot if there was matchmaking and mainly because I need the Doubles grimoire. But without it? No, thank you. And my guess is many people like me will just skip the event. Which is really sad considering there's nothing else to do in the game. Bad move, Bungo.

19 AntwortenI don't understand how anyone can defend Bungie on this. Everyone keeps saying this is a social game, wtf does that even mean? Someone please tell me what makes this a "social" game compared to all the other games out there that have PvP and matchmaking. Is it the fact there are social areas where you can use emotes? Is that all it takes for you to be okay with this? My experience might differ but there are two ways I've made friends on Xbox before, they are: 1.) I know them in real life. 2.) I was matchmade with them, they were good, I continued to play with them, and before we called it quits I would send a friend request so we could play again sometime. Never have I needed to go outside of a game to find PvP partners or Xbox friends. Other games have team doubles and matchmaking and I actually can't think of another game that requires this to play PvP. Bungie, this is not a PC game, if it was that community would've torn it apart and fixed your game already, not to mention added content to it. This is a console game, please treat it as such.

Every time I play a game mode that has matchmaking if the people I get matched with do well I invite them to my fireteam bc they are someone I want to play with. Matchmaking is such a good way to find groups to play with unlike the forums which takes forever to get a group together, and once you do, there seams to be 95% chance that the people you find are absolute trash.
-
4 AntwortenI'm usually the first person to jump in and say "look Bungie wants Destiny to be a co-op focused game get used to it." That said I don't see the point in not having matchmaking for Crimson Doubles. There are plenty of solo players. There are also times when people who usually play with a team get on and nobody else is on or they are already in an activity.

TL;DR. Nice bait.
