Hoping we see a thorn nerf Tuesday
Otherwise Crimson doubles is going to be terrible since level advantages aren't enabled.
The burn either needs to proc on precison damage or just removed for something like keen scout.
It also needs its magazine size nerfed back down, it's base range hit, and base stability hit back down as well. Snapshot needs removed for extended mag so there would be a choice between range, stability, or magazine capacity.
Edit 1: if you have a low medal score and hardly ever played crucible please don't talk about the crucible. You don't know what you are talking about
Edit 2: these forums are a joke. This is a rather reasonable post with suggestions that I have been saying since March of last year. Thorn has too much range, rewards body shots extensively, and allows for slight tracking. It has too many strengths and almost no weaknesses since 2.1 dropped. Hawkmoon got its range hit because Bungie thought it would be too good again. No idea why they haven't hit the Thorns range when with the proper perk and barrel selection has more range than the FIRST CURSE until it's perk gets activated.
I know a lot of people feel like they earned this weapon and rightfully so, but this gun is competing with scout rifles at range again and is dominant in high level rumble and 3v3. The change to special ammo is going to further shift small team towards thorn because the TLW needs a sniper paired with it to be good. Thorn doesn't. At the very LEAST the DoT needs to be tied to headshots because right is, there is no reason to even try to land headshots. After all that's what hand cannons are for (aside from TLW) is paced PRECISON shots.

Just ran my warlock through the bounties. Thorn, dot grenades, burn melee. Yep. Was a good time. I don't self res really so didn't do all of that.

Revert back to two shot kill. Mag down to 7, but only burn on precision. Change TLW back to 86 crits and 60 body. But keep range, damage falloff

PvP is ruined in this game and I doubt they can fix it,they couldn't change thorn with ruining the lore,which is why we need PvE and PvP gear.

Thorn is fine , I play 3v3 primarily and I rarely see thorns and when I do, they never feel over powered or seem like I can't counter them.

el oh -blam!-ing el the thorn is weak as shit compared to what it used to be, it's more of an annoyance than anything. quit panicking when you see green and just kill the fool using it
