DESTINY 2 A RESET?!
For Destiny 2 would you rather have the game be a completely fresh restart or keep our progression and characters?
A case for both:
Fresh Start- Leveling up, getting new guns, and being able to progress through challenges and the story was one of the things that made year one so good. A reset would bring that fresh experience back, with the thrill of progressing from nothing.
Keep Data- If the game was basically a reset, some would argue that all we've done is for nothing. What's the point of what we've been doing if it were all to just reset?
Ok, so what side do you fall on and why?

The entire point of destiny is that no matter what you do, you'll play as your guardian. Everywhere. If they flip that in destiny 2 this will all have been a waste.

They already said our characters would carry over. They will have to be releveled to whatever the current leveling system turns out to be. If you don't want to use the same characters I'm sure that will be an option ,too.

Hell, at this point I don't care. I voted for fresh start but it doesn't matter to me. Like I said, I'd just be happy with anything new.

My thinking as at your graudian is just chilling. Not doing much of anything before destiny 2. He or she is just waiting. So I'd like to keep my stuff.

Its a hard choice. I want a seamless integration from destiny into destiny 2. But I think the game as a whole needs an overhaul to bring it into a path of prolonged play. So, if we have to start over to get a better experience, then Im ok with that.

I'd like to keep the cosmetic stuff (ships/shaders etc), but wouldn't be too fussed if guns and armour were left behind.

Well it depends if it really is an entirely new game, with new progression systems and whatnot I would assume guns/armor won't be transferred over, so light level would be moot. Emblems shaders and ships I guess?

1 AntwortenIn year one we would have killed any one who mentioned us loosing our characters. Now we have lost so much and our stuff is so without meaning that starting over seems like a real option. This really means we are loosing our attachment to the game.

Keep data when you play destiny 1. Restart for 2.

Grimoire, Emblems, Shaders, Subclass upgrades, and Light Level (assuming they don't change progression) should be transferred over

Why wouldn't you want a fresh start? That's the fun of the game is to work your way up to the best gear and I think destiny needs a fresh start to begin with.

It would be great if we could start a fourth character and the old content was actually profitable and you could play all the way through but on a fresh character.

A fresh start would bring back all the wonder for me, coming from nothing but base weapons again. The new stuff would be higher level anyway so we would just be left with a lot of pointless stuff. It has been said that everything we have done would have been for nothing ....... and? I have completed many games and the sequels and not one of them carried on. It is not like this is an RPGMMO. It is a game, it is fun, not work.

Keep the data, but let the items go. Fix the systems first. RNG, the balancing, the weapons we are using now won't fit the bill.

1 AntwortenI'm happy with a fresh restart if and only if they explain what happened to the guardian who killed atheon, crota, skolas, and oryx. They give me a good reason he/she is not in the picture. I'm happy with that reset
