I recognize there are some people that hate the update...
And I recognize my opinion may not be correct in everyone's eyes.
But removing special will allow for more primary battles early on, and force players to learn map control.
Most players will need to adapt, and get better at pvp without constant special ammo... this means the crucible will be more competitive in a healthy way, unlike terrible connection SBMM
But what do I know! I'd rather hear what you all think - Let's get some discussion going
-
I wish they included reducing heavy. Heavy can ruin a good 3v3
-
4 AntwortenMtashed I was ready for an exciting video about how you hate the update. But if you like it I'll probably like it too.
-
I agree 100%. I'm actually excited to play more 3v3
-
Good change I think. I wonder though if enough people bitch about it will bungle restore it to its original state.
-
Pretty much everything they have removed has been good for PVP, starting by removing any new PVE content, killing year one PVE content, killing year one PVE guns, and removing most of the PVE players.
-
You smell like eggs
-
You. I like you
-
So the first round will be the most important one. How do you prevent revives after you lose the first round? Revive overshield new meta?
-
9 AntwortenThe problem is not the abundance of ammo. It's the weapons. There's a reason people use specials over primaries. They're just better. That's the problem.
-
Yeah because now trials is gonna be fun. Yayyyy! Trials is a sniping or shotgun 3v3 mode! Yeah I use a primary and I prefer a shotgun, that's my set up I use. I only use the shotgun to rush or if I know where the enemy is and I can flank. But some maps are mainly snipers, Pantheon is just a snipe war 9/10 times, occasionally a shot gun rush in mid. I main my sniper on sniping maps in trials because everyone else does because that's what's good and effective! Bungie is a bitch and a half because all the really really bad players bitch and moan and want nerfs and then Bungie nerfs anything good or effective to the point of not even noticing the once decent guns. It's pointless, eventfully they'll need everything and we'll all technically be even again because we all have shit pea shooters. Eventually they'll make it 2 shots to the head with a sniper, can't snipe of revive, they'll just take shotguns out of the game, make fusion rifles only fire able with you cock, they'll make it to where you have to hip fire all your weapons, they'll take subclasses out, they'll make it to where we can't sprint, it's dumb as shit and Bungie are essentially communist by regulating so tightly nobody wants to play there shit games anymore
-
9 AntwortenAnother nerf. Another non-problem no one wanted fixed.
-
13 AntwortenYou do realize there will be hardly any change, right? After initial 20- 30 seconds itll be exactly the same
-
5 AntwortenNow everyone's gonna start the game off with icebreaker
-
Mike. I love you
-
Good on ya! Considering you main a sniper it's good to hear you support less sniper only trials matches!
-
I'm happy with the update
-
I sometimes use a sniper more than a primary and despite that I'm pretty happy about it.
-
This will make me want to play more, good job bungie
-
While I agree. In trials, a player can still use y1 ice breaker. First round they can surprise opponents and bait them into sniper angles. Then second round they will have max ammo. And can swap as they see fit. Hopefully Bungie can read this and be proactive.
-
Actually I think it's a great and horrible idea at the same time. It's great because it stops the shotgun rush or sniper camp for the beginning. People will actually have to use primaries. It's horrible because the team that wins round 1 and gets special....now has a huge advantage over the other team. An advantage big enough that may lock the other team out from getting special. Since now that team can snipe or shotgun rush and the other team has no special to counter it. Though sidearm will still spawn with special. Or I can see both teams just turtling until special finally spawns. Though I have hope because the end of the post about specials they hinted at longer spawn timers for special. So it is possible that the first round ends with neither team getting special.

Can't wait to get sprayed down with invective
-
My doctrine with persistence, braced frame and hidden hand don't care
-
3 AntwortenPeople will consider using Invective or Icebreaker in 3v3 over MIDA and TLW to have special ammo before the enemy team does.
-
Icebreaker and invective... How is it going to work on them
-
I wrote something on another post but like to copy it here. Sorry for the wordiness:
Some speculation: I think it will emphasize team shooting and grenades even more, which could be a good thing. The match will probably happen with teams that are not particularly good at sniping (or shotgunning) to rush the other team, in hopes of finishing each round before special ammo is available. I could also imagine godly snipers doing real damage with NLB, but this can be counter with 3 people team shooting with primaries. A typical team loadout might be consisted of NLBs protected close range by TLW. I also anticipate team-nading more (because people rely more on team shooting and might stick together more on some maps), and some lingering grenades on ammo boxes when fighting over special crates. As for people who says sidearms spawn with ammo, how does it work during inferno matches (where specials don't spawn immediately in the beginning)? I know that invective doesn't regen until you crack the first ammo crate. Same for sidearms? Tbh I don't know how i feel about special weapons with self regen ammo. However, I foresee if it gets abused, it might result in the weapon nerfed by having regen time longer, or only spawning 1 to 2 shots at a time instead of a full 4 shot mag. Same with special ammo crates. To prevent matches from snowballing in favor of one team, each crate pickup might only reward 2-3 shots.
PS- sorry OP, can't access the video because Im living in the PRC and censors don't like YouTube.

I agree although, I'm not certain how I feel about how it will affect trials.
