I recognize there are some people that hate the update...
And I recognize my opinion may not be correct in everyone's eyes.
But removing special will allow for more primary battles early on, and force players to learn map control.
Most players will need to adapt, and get better at pvp without constant special ammo... this means the crucible will be more competitive in a healthy way, unlike terrible connection SBMM
But what do I know! I'd rather hear what you all think - Let's get some discussion going
-
7 AntwortenI think they should have just done away with special and heavy ammo for the 3v3 modes
-
To extend, however, because of the special ammo change, expect a higher amount of crybabies using Multitool. Withought their precious shotgun to kill at first their gonna use more meta, if there weren't already. Pretty much a generic load out of Multitool, Conspiracy Theory, HQuilms Term.

This is fine by me. I use NLB as my primary so nothing will change.
-
Good vid, also I like your tips a lot.
-
1 Antwortenthis is a good video... solid accurate commentary
-
Some people just refuse to acknowledge the meaning of the word primary.

5 AntwortenBearbeitet von euphoricplacebo: 2/5/2016 6:42:39 PMI agree tash. I find myself at a disadvantage 80-90% of the time because I like to use my primaries. I shouldn't be punished for that.

If they ever buff fusions hip fire back then I may be sad about special decrease. Because fusions are fun too :P But I welcome these new changes.
-
2 AntwortenMy only problem is how Lopsided a match will get (one team gets Special after wiping the other team in the first round of trials or elim) when one team gets special and the other doesn't it will be like heavy all over again. One team has a OHK option and the others don't. so first round is about primary and the last 4 is about one team spanking the other with special. Players thought playing a higher skilled opponent in trials was unfair before lol wait til they have all the ammo.

I'm kinda happy, a lil scared of the new Trials Meta, and curious

3 AntwortenDoes anyone use any gun other than mida. Used to not mind it now everyone and I mean everyone uses it. I'm so sick of pvp being dominated by a few guns, it's getting super old. And yeah I know people just say join them and adapt but goddamn it's stupid. I used autos and fusions at vanilla then switched to scouts and shotguns. Switching from fusions to shotguns hurt man, f$&@ing hated shotguns with a passion but to hang I had to or just get sniped by felwinters all day. Then hand cannons took over and I really did not like those either, once again taking the fun out of pvp. Then pulses took over and I switched again, now it's scouts mainly mida. And honestly i hope u guys are having fun, but bungies balancing system has burnt me out. Making each change making more guns obsolete and a couple op. Not fun anymore

No maybe or round for each special weapon and if the weapon is conspiracy or 2k you will not be allowed special ammo
-
I'm wondering if Invective is about to become a rather popular shotgun in PvP.
-
There is really nothing to discuss.Round should start with no special ammo!
-
2 AntwortenI don't know if this is gonna work. They could have Gone about in a different way, you should just spawn with less like 3-4 rounds. Or just spawn heavy and special at the same time , make people choose special or heavy. I think the reason they're doing this it to try to reduce the nerf snipers nerf shotgun post because people were running special as primaries. It will most likely produce more primary nerf posts. But this is jut my opinion.
-
2 AntwortenI give bungie two months till you spawn with no ammo whatsoever. "It's only gonna get more strategic and we'll have to work as a team and blah blah blah"
-
15 Antwortenin a game type like ToO/elimination this makes most games very one sided compared to before. whichever team wins round one will be able to use special while the opposing team won't have any special whatsoever. so whoever wins round one will on average will win the entire game.
-
1 AntwortenI like the changes. But I want classic 3's to still spawn with special. If it's classic then it should be reminiscent of how year 1 was. Also, keep it out of trials. It creates too much of a snowball effect, just like heavy ammo in rumble. If a team wins the first round, they acquire special (or heavy in rumble). They have a severe advantage over the other players. They use these power weapons, to keep winning rounds (or slaying) and acquire MORE special (or heavy)

Yep, I can decimate a team of six by just throwing two incendiary grenades right at the beginning of a match if I have a pretty good knowledge of the map I'm playing!
-
*cough* Icebreaker
-
Well said it's a great idea.👍
-
Good vid Mike. I immediately thought of you and Hovey when I read the update. I was surprised to see you're for the changes - given that you're a solid solid sniper; especially in light of the 1kys vid you put out recently. I'm excited for these changes - and I hope it makes for a more level playing field!

It will bring everything to a slow pace. Now scout rifles will dominate the crucible along with sidearms. Just wait for MIDA nerfs to come because it will DOMINATE the crucible. The Last Word will also be likely to receive a nerf because it will dominate close range.
-
They gotta do something about ice breaker on the first round that's for damn sure
-
I'd rather have then include 6's in this update. It's already chaotic enough, why not just make the first 45 seconds a bit more coordinated?
-
5 AntwortenDisagree with trials special.Whichever teams wins first round will most likely have time to grab special at end giving them a huge advantage for the next couple rounds.
