Message to all those "REQ. 315 light, etc."
What's the point of that? You ask for people with experience. Yet you never give them
A chance to learn. Is it that really necessary?
And then to add on you make all these Req for trials yet your KD isn't even above a .90. And while I'll admit I'm not that good at crucible I still manage to keep a overall good KD when I Try. But others never give you the chance to show them!

You see sometimes I like to teach for example my noobie friend's but you know sometimes I like to get stuff done quick and don't want unexperienced players to waste my time.

i understand it. but at the same time all players need to do is up to oryx a few weeks in a row doing the challenges and they will be at that 315 area. look at it this way, the oryx fight is like a mini raid within a raid. there are more mechanics at work on this part alone than in any other part of any raid to date. it is rather hard to carry anyone that is in that 310 area through the oryx fight as you need everyone contributing to make it work. and to make it work 4 time in a row to complete it. i understand this as i went through this with my own clan. they wouldn't let me do the oryx fight until i was in that 315 range. once you see it from both sides you will understand.

Rewards are so shit that wiping and keep on trying is not even worth it Then there are liars who tell you they know what they are doing and then they die from unstable light and whoops comes out the truth and the boot. Ppl like these gave the wrong picture and hence higher light requirement. Me personally look at grimoire score, for pve activities grimoire is somewhat an acceptable measure of skill (in pve only)

Many of the raid groups I've entered have had requirements like that. The funny part is that when I get in the group, the members are often below their own requirements.

Make your own damn group if you want to have low light characters in the raid. People are free to make whatever requirements they want and of they want 315+ to have a higher chance at success then letting in a bunch of 300 who possibly don't know what they are doing then all the power to them it's their group they can do what they want to just like you can.

I agree, light is an irrelevant stat in PvP.

Some people want quick runs in the raid and do not want to spend their time walking people through certain encounters, and it sucks for the new players. Light level does not immediately determine skill because it's all pretty RNG based but most raiders make the assumption that higher light players are capable of performing a quick run, which everyone wants

I'm sorry but no. 315 is not that high anymore. The shittiest players are now 315 or higher because of the challenges.

Never was Elitist but after a while it does get old despite having the patience to explain which I've done plenty of times. Still do and don't mind.

It's not a fact that below 315 people are bad just like it isn't a fact that 315+ are good. Odds are you'll have better success with a 315+ group though.

Done my first hard mode last night at 310. The group I was in was 318-320. It was a brilliant experience. They only needed to explain the oryx encounter.

4 AntwortenNot to add salt but I take it a step further...I'm looking for 318+ rooms. Guess what? In the past two weeks, 4 out of 6 runs were finished a little under an hour. I've put in the struggle and time to get to 320. All 6 runs completed early after reset. I do then Sherpa the rest of the week ;-)

Hey if youve done the work and youre at 319, asking for 315+ at this point isnt a deuchey move, if youre sitting close to 320 its not your responsibility to help lower levels, theres plenty of people who do, but if you dont want to its ok. Id suggest if youre at lower levels to create your own group and then you can take whoever you want.

10 AntwortenEveryone should play with people around their own light. If you're still 310 you gotta go thru the struggle like us 319s did 3 months ago. I want 319s who have been around the block a few more times cuz I'm not trying to waste any of what little gaming time I have. Anyone who can't understand that is just foolish. And no of course I don't think you need to be high light to beat hard. My team did it at 310 the first weekend it was out, before any of the current strategies had been formed. And I don't think light level is any measure of skill. Just a measure of experience, and I'll take the most experienced people I can every time. You expect to get on a team of 319s when you're 310? Lol I hope one of them is a real life friend or it ain't happening.

My requirement for challenge mode is 315+. For non-challenge I ask for experienced players.
