Everyone uses the same guns
The meta is really feeling dull. Tlw vs tlw battles feels like anything can happen. Either half the shots miss or they dont. And why arent there more snipers that are equal to the 1000 yard? The pusle rifle meta felt the best because that took more gunskill. Sorry i know im ranting but damn. Im sure most of you know how i feel. I really wish there was space for more guns to be used competitively.
EDIT: wow I did not expect so many responses. Its nice to see so many different opinions. I agree that this isnt the worst meta but its not the best either. Theres over 100 guns in the game and yet we can only use a select few to stand a fighting chance. That's where i think pvp needs some improvement.

1K Yard isn't OP, it's easily accessible and high impact. Pretty much why I use it. And while I saw a lot of Mida, I didn't see a lot of TLW. Killed a few people with my Dead Orbit AR trying to rush me with it, though.

This meta seems to allow more guns to be viable than the pulse rifle meta tho

I use Harrowed DoY love the feel of it. Of course I use MIDA but that's because it was my main exotic when I wasn't using gally.

I went back to using year ones. My already low k/d r went down further but it's been fun.

I have been seeing less and less of the meta lately. I think a lot of people are getting tired of it. Lots of auto and pulse rifles. Dilluvian or ruin wake or some rocket launcher. Stillpiercer or spindle. Party crasher or Patch a.

Pick one and move on, unfortunately this is how it is. I will say it's better than it used to be in regards to variety except for in Rumble, it's all Thorn.

I just played a salvage match with 5 guys running TLW / Sniper / BTRD archetype HMG. So I ran Thorn. ^.^

I only us TWL whenever I want to. Which is not that much. I mostly use a scout I got from the gunsmith

Well pretty sure I have seen this complaint before, just remove TLW and replace with Thorn. Either way have fun for six months until Bungie can be arsed sorting it out

I think weapon balance is fine besides doctrine honestly. That damn thing is like having a slightly weaker machine gun.
