Wow...I am amazed. I am amazed at how when this dev team finds the right formula and it becomes widely accepted amongst your player base you feel compelled to change what already works!! Iron Banner has ALWAYS BEEN CONTROL!! ALWAYS!! Iron Banner is the shining star of the PVP community and you guys are destroying the experience! Rift OMG is not the answer. This is NOT a team based game! There is hardly any use of strategy here. Everyone is drawn to center of the map for a meat grinding fest. The last 2 or 3 standing grab the ball only to be annihilated at the drop zone because the opposing team has respawned there before you reach the goal! If you choose to split your team up to grab the rift ball and to flank you will most likely lose the rift battle or half your team is out of position. In order for rift to work ability specials as in "mayhem" have to be more available. Else its to much ground to cover. Also your current maps do not have enough free lanes to get back to the rift spot quickly enough. Listen do not tamper with the Banner! You will lose or have already lost a huge base of players for these events in the future. Restore it to default and DON'T THINK. LEAVE IT BE!...thank you.

I really enjoy the last/current IB! It is so much fun!

Hmmm... At first, I was HATING Rift for IB. I never really played rift as a normal game type so had no real experience with it. However, after playing it for a few days, I actually began to like it! You just have to be aggressive and play with folks who are aggressive AND coordinated (this helps - A LOT...lol). Get a few blockers in front of the runner to kill all mofos in the way and you are good! LOL I do like control for IB but this wasn't bad once I got the hang of it - I do NOT like clash for IB, however - folks just camp in their favorite spot...lol Note: Sometimes keeping the other team from getting the spark to buy time for your team to get back into play is the way to go (falling on the sword for the team) - so being aggressive is critical.

maybe you should just get a better rift team =\

2 Antwortenblue rare weapons shouldn't drop as a reward for banner. at all! Its should be motes, coins or legendary items for characters and ships. That's it. It's so insulting when I come out top scorer and receive a blue rare POS item. While bottom scorer down there gets a god roll scout. This would also imply to fix ur crappy loot table bungie,

2 AntwortenAs bad as Rift can be, it's better than doing Control for Iron Banner every month. Variety is good, even if you don't appreciate it.

2 AntwortenZone Control would be the best possible

7 Antworten•_• uuuhhhh maybe you have played against me? I count myself as a sub par player in crucible. I will not say I'm good. But here are 3 memorable games from today. 1) Captured the rift 5-7 times in one game (can't remember exact amount) 2) scored over 6000 points in 1 min including 2 captures. 30 seconds later the mercy rule kicked in. 3) scored over 7500 in one game (inflicted the mercy rule of course but not as fast as #2) This all came from someone who counts himself a few steps above bad. (Maybe 2 XS) I do miss control though.

I like rift

Rift is awesome!

For the life of me, I can't figure out why you think Iron Banner is the shining star of Destiny's PvP...

38 AntwortenBearbeitet von Abit117: 1/31/2016 5:32:31 PMThere are a few different positions that need to be filled in order to successfully win at rift, 1. You need spark a runner or runners (no more than 2) these guys just focus on retrieving the spark. They've got to pay attention and play smart. They will also have low k/D. 2. My favorite position and one I play well, the slayers, these guys do just that, slay, plain and simple. They don't pick up the spark, they kill and die, they hunt enemy spark runners and, if needed, fall back to defend the rift. Medium to high K/D. 3. And lastly, the Defenders, that should be self explanatory. They defend the rift, 1 player 2 at most, (pending on how the round is going of corse). That's it, that all. Fill these spots and work together WITH your team and a win will be in the bag.

Rift is better get over it

2 AntwortenIf you spent 5 more minutes forming paragraphs then it wouldn't look like drivel from a 12 year old.

Sorry I do not agree. I am a solo player most of the time with a sub 1.0 K/D and I consider myself a PVE player. I did not care for Rift before the IB. That said I had the most fun in IB this time. If Rift was not the IB game type this week I would have continued to avoid it, but now I will probably drop in more. I have to say the changes in match making was very fair and allowed me to be more successful than ever. It was refreshing to not have PVP gods killng me every 10 seconds. I could actually take time to explore the map a bit and figure out attack strats. I did play with a team a few times and when I did they had much better players than me and the match making adjusted accordingly. The competition was much tougher in those games and I did not do nearly as well. I just changed my play style and followed more and supported the other teammates by team firing at their targets and calling out enemy moves as much as possible.

thumbs down

Rift has been my favorite ib to date

I was disappointed when I first learned of IB Rift, dismayed by how much I sucked at first, then made peace with it and began having fun...kinda. This is how you have fun (kinda) and help your team win if you play solo or just suck at running the spark. 1. Equip 1000 Yard Stare. 2. Flank the enemy. 3. Notice how they are all focused on where the spark will be. 4. Take out 1 to 2 of the enemy with dome shots, and more if your lucky or good at sniping. This should help clear the area around the spark for your runner. 5. Switch to primary and go deep into enemy territory when your runner is advancing. 6. Murder every enemy player you see. 7. Reset position and do it again. Basically, play Clash. You'll have fun killing things while indirectly helping your team by clearing the field of enemies.

My 5 year old got to rank 5 through yesterday playing solo on Xbox 1. He didn't complain at all.

What......did I just......read......

If you're in a fire team. Rift is good. Being solo on the other hand is different. My experience with it was a stressful grind fest to rank 5. Unlike clash or control I felt I can contribute to my team by capping a flag or take out enemies as much as i can. In Rift, I am dependent on how good the runner is. I don't like that. There multiple times I defend my runner but if it is only me and the other team is well coordinated, I am screwed. There are times that I take matters in my own hand and take the spark and scored a couple of times but again it is a slaughterhouse in the spark area to get it. Rift should be in a Trials of Osiris for 6v6 event not in IB.

THE IRON INFERNO MEYHEM ZONE CONTROL
-
This has been the most fun Iron Banner to date. Control is boring.
-
1 AntwortenIt's actually not that bad. It's action packed and usually over pretty quickly. The only downside is when you have terrible teammates that don't play the objective.
-
Actually I felt the teamwork like I never had before. Grabbed the spark on pantheon, took some cover on the right, and was amazed to see all 5 of my teammates advancing on their base providing cover. I came VERY close to scoring that time because my teammates weren't being worthless scum. That stuff just never happens in control for me.
-
I liked it. When spark running, retreat towards your spawn first. It confuses the other team who is waiting for you to coming sprinting in, and then they may get engaged by your teammates again and scatter their grouping. This worked for me as a solo player.
