You're talking about Nes versions of Battletoads and TMNT, right? I've played Battletoads feat. Double Dragon on SNES, pretty fun coop game, it was nerfed in difficulty or we used to choose easy maybe. Turtles in time! Damn great game and ost, I still listen to "alleycat blues" sometimes.

May not be the hardest.. But.. God of war 2 on titan difficulty is by far the hardest and most soul crushing thing ive ever experienced in gaming, but i loved every second.

For me, it's Tharsis, hands down. Just finished doing a "let's play" and I feel broken and abused lol. I did make it to Mars, on the 30th attempt.
