Is 1000 stare, over used or unbalaced?
I personally think that the 1000 stare is being very unbalanced in the crucible. In Iron Banner, Control, Trial of Osiris there can be a 80% that the opposite team all have a 1000 stare.
Im not saying to be nerfed, I just want more weapons that are the same damage as the 1000 stare.
Also is becoming over used
As an MMORPG player, I think we might need different weapons to use. I think that almost the 90%of the people used this sniper.

I agree. I think it is used because there really isn't anything else that is as good. I also use eirene and stillpiercer (hunter only). Hate to say it, but I wish rerolling weapons was still possible. The problem I have is I love shortgaze sight. It's the only one I'm consistent with. Can't get it to drop on a sniper other than the gimme version.

All high impact variants of special weapons are ubiquitously the best choice. I find that to be a problem with weapon design and weapon balancing. 1k yard stare falls into the high impact-obvious choice category for snipers, so I would argue it is too powerful.

5 AntwortenThere are two types of 1000 yard users: 1. People who have sniped since year one (like me) and want to continue. The 1000 yard is simply the best sniper there is. Similar to my beloved LDR 5001 and the longbow sythesis. They sniped all through the reign of shotguns and are probably quite good. 2. The people who just picked up snipers when shotguns got nerfed. These people use 1000 yard because it is easy to get and a good all round sniper. These people are mostly idiots who ruin the game. They sit at the end of sniper lanes scoped for entire games, rift clash, you name it. These people deserve to explode

I got one question did you play with the LDR 5001? If you are complaint about the 1000 yard stare then you never dealt with the most overused unbalanced sniper to ever hit the destiny universe

Is there any other high impact year 2 snipers besides Eriene and Spindle? It's currently the best choice for year 2. It's not overused or overpowered. Just the one of the few viable choices ATM.

If bungie let us use year 1 weapons by infusing them to y2 power levels, I guarantee you will see significantly less 1000-Yard Stares. Efrideets Spear, Y-09 Longbow Synthesis, LDR-5001, Her Benevolence, Shadow of Veils, and The Supremacy. All these year 1 snipers with very similar stats to the stare were used a ton in trials. Let me use my God rolled longbow, and I promise to never touch a 1000-Yard Stare....

It's a sniper that can kill supers in one hit and res snipe and it's given to everyone that did a easy quest...

Watch out for weapons of light snipers. They hurt quite a lot.

The 1K is overused because it is 1 of 3 snipers that will res snipe in trials and is easy to obtain.

2 AntwortenThey should just make a perk on snipers to increase impact but reduce fire rate and mag size, if fire rate is not enough. And vice versa.

All Sniper Rifles need more Flinch or add a perk to all guns that allow it to deliver more of a punch. That way you have an option.

It's overused, which leads people to believe it's unbalanced. Really it's just an ordinary sniper rifle with good stats
