Can someone explain to me why the Defender class is the weakest in the game?
Title pretty much.
I play the Defender class as my main, and I have noticed that it is considerably weaker than every single class and every single subclass. I prefer playing the tank in game, where I can soak up damage, but looking back at the previous patches, it seems that Defenders seem to get collateral damage every single time, and now they are essentially the weakest link in the game (which is quite ironic).
I understand why people thought the Sunbreakers were broken and the subsequent nerf as a result in the recent patches. However, I don't understand why Defenders were also thrown under the bus when in the previous patch they were also thrown under the bus, and the patch before that as well. Are Defenders so broken that they must be nerfed at every major patch?

Weak or isn't designed to do damage? I think it is more a support class by nature and many raid teams require them.

The ward itself should be able to take more damage. For it to be 2 shot by a gg, when its primary purpose is to protect is total bullshit.

I -blam!-ing slay with it. And I don't even main a Titan. I use it more than Striker, and Sunbreaker. It's always fun suppressing mobile super users upon activation.

Pvp defender is horrible In iron banner a bunch of people would hide in the shield Every time I ran up and nova bombed and killed them all It's awesome when used correctly but can be countered pretty easily

Have you ever done a raid before? Defenders are one of the strongest pve subclasses in the game. Next to Nightstalker but they even beat them in some cases.

It's a support class? It's not supposed to deliver an oversoul to the enemy team

I don't play a defender, or the titan class really, but I always appreciate a defender when I was doing strikes regularly. If the defender knows what they are doing and the others in the fire team are smart enough to use the defender's abilities to their advantage rather than charge ahead blindly then a defender is a great thing to have around.

1 AntwortenIf you're better at every single subclass than Defender, then why . . .? But seriously, I love wearing Saint14 during the Umnigul strike, also that strike I get bubble after bubble. I also love using my 320 Malice with Titan Bubble doing Vex strikes. That's right kids, it's not just for ogres anymore. :]

For real! The suppressor grenade has a horrible radius, but hunters get a subclass designed around suppression and kill with it.

Easily the best Titan PvE class. And they work well in PvP also

You obviously aren't playing the Defender Class correctly then.... I actually have mained my Defender for the best part of Iron Banner and go out of my way to cause utter Chaos with my Ward Of Dawn. It's Balanced and Awesome

Yet, Defenders have been the most requested subclass in EVERY raid. Just because they're defense-based doesn't mean they're the weakest.

5 AntwortenIn my opinion I don't believe that they are the weakest the Defender subclass is just that a "defensive" one. It would be funny to have an "Offender" bubble where you can roll around in it! :)
