Iron Banner Rift - As bad as you imagined!
Holy Christ, this was the worst idea ever.

Reasons why:
Shit map rotation. -blam!-ing cathedral of dusk.
Red bars everywhere, worse than ever.
Games get lopsided too quickly, so there are way more quitters.
It's a stupid -blam!-ing game mode to begin with.
Edit 2-
I got paired with better connections overall last night, closer to what IB had felt like in the past (so still not great).
Rift is still stupid, and cathedral of dusk can still eat a dick.

Not at all. Only ran into lag 3 out of about 20 matches, love the maps though some are tough to get used to ... vertigo is AWESOME, so fun being able to just turnaround ans jump through the portal onto the enemy rift. I ran solo and won, and ran with 4 from my clan and won. All in all, refreshingly good iron banner!

Pretty good to me...if you are good at running spark. And also there are supposed to be lopsided matches, if you cant accept that then you wont really like the update today

Got the MIDA on maxed that agility on the titan and a blast , a few very bad teams here and there but over all its not that bad stop the whining .

For people going in solo you should invite your match made team to the party/chat app. Anyone that accepts add them to your fire team. Rinse and repeat each game and soon you will have a group that are communicating. You only need a fireteam of 3 to really see a difference in the gameplay, or use LFG, frustrating I know but a team objective based game where noone talks to each other is not the way to "enjoy" this IronBanner. Yes its a poor choice of game modes but there are ways to make it more enjoyable. I'm on XB1, I'll be starting as a 2 man fireteam tonight UK time at 8pm, If anyone else iis due to play at that time and wants to add me go for it. I'm not great at pvp and still learning some of the maps so don't expect much, i'll also be having some cheeky beers. But this mode is horrible in silence. all welcome. Make the most of a bad situation. Like when you shlt yourself. at least you wont get bum -blam!-. Every cloud n all that.

1: The maps are actually fairly balanced with the rift spawning specifically in mid with multiple areas to run. 2: Red Bars are a crucible thing not rift specific 3 Maps only get unbalanced cause your team is under preforming try using lfg 4: That's an opinion alot of people prefer objective based to just kill based

1 AntwortenRift is ok but it's just not fun at the moment in the crucible period in any mode. Matchmaking on skill level has ruined the experience. Just make it optional Bungie please. Also make Banner Clash again. By a mile the best Banner was the 1st post TTK banner. Drops were awful but had so much fun. IB broken this week hopefully will get fixed soon.

I've never hated ANYTHING in this game like I hate rift. Match after match... I drop into a game that's already pretty much over, to get heavied and supered. And then it says it breaking up the teams to find a better match. Better match meaning an 8k deficit. 4 guys on your team and another stomping. -blam!- you bungie.

I keep getting spawned into matches that are almost over with my team under 8,000 pts... So I sit and wait for the loot drops. Not the worst way to spend my work day!

I actually really like rift so far. The bounties are super easy to complete as if you can run the spark well you can easily be MVP. However, I can see how some may find it annoying as my team did steam roll a few teams last night and the scoring system is super hard to make a comeback with. This game mode really is a communication driven game mode.

Map rotation hasn't changed So far i've seen 1 red bar in every match. That's 1 of 12 people. Can't help if your teams suck, maybe find a fireteam? But they do need to punish people who repeatedly leave matches. Maybe IB rift will get better in the week
