What is the strongest class in Destiny acording to the lore?

3 AntwortenBearbeitet von Szeth6678: 1/25/2016 9:11:36 PMProbably the Warlocks. Warlocks drove the Ahamkara to extinction, something that neither the Hunters nor the Titans could apparently have accomplished. There is one grimoire card (I forget which specifically) in which a Warlock shows an Ahamkara claw to a Hunter and tells her that no Hunter or Titan could have killed them. When she accepts his unspoken challenge, he laments that he has sent her to her death. I would imagine that at least part of why neither Hunters nor Titans could kill Ahamkara is due to their tricks/cunning/intelligence. Not that Titans and Hunters are not smart or cunning themselves, but they are not as dedicated to the mind as Warlocks, and thus Warlocks were likely able to outsmart the Ahamkara, and/or utilize some obscure arcana to destroy them. Then there is that amazing quote from Ikora: "Only Warlocks understand true power." Also, this: "A Warlock's mind is an arsenal of deadly secrets, balanced between Godhood and madness. On the battlefield, those secrets can shatter reality itself."

Hunters are useless

They all have their strengths. I'd say Hunters might be the most important just because of what they do. They're the scouts and explorers. They roam the wilderness taking down threats, warning the City, and looking for remnants of the Golden Age.

2 AntwortenKabr... He was the ultimate badass!

Titans defend Hunters scout Warlocks analyze They all have roles to play.
-
Titans this is coming from a hunter

I'm sure in the lore it says the titans held the enemy outside the walls while the city prepared but you could make an argument for any class.
-
Titans defended the city for centuries, that's not a bad service record.

1 AntwortenBearbeitet von The Researcher: 1/25/2016 8:47:52 PMWell bugie made loads of lore and all 3 classes are equal, we all have some famous guardians like: hunters with shin malphur(who was probably driven insane because dregen yor messed with his mind), warlocks with toland (who was eventually corrupted by his own knowledge) and titans with saint-14 (who was never heard from again once he left). These characters represent the 3 classes, they all have their ups and downs but in the end they're equal.

Noticing alot of people coughing in this thread. U guys feeling OK, u should take some cough drops or something.

4 AntwortenThey all have god like lore. The story of Kbar, Saint-14, and the six fronts are epic (titan), Toland, and Osiris are short, but fascinating (Warlock), and you can't forget about the most iconic lore about Shin Malphore, and his Last word vs. Dregdon Yor, and Thorn. I think Titan, but I like the Hunters.

2 AntwortenTitans in lore and in game. Toland and Osiris were strong but Warlocks nowadays don't even compare to them.

5 AntwortenWarlocks, because they are heavily favored by Bungie, so obviously anything the other two classes did or can do pale in comparison. If you compare any other class with Warlocks well... Warlocks: did it first did it better choose not to tear their atoms apart This is why I both like and despise the Warlock in-game and in-lore. Their lore is some of the most interesting to read, but Bungie made them to be Gods walking among mortals. Their only drawback to all that insane power is one of them goes crazy now and again. Warlocks can use the force of the universe? Overpowered class is overpowered in lore, but also, like Superman, is boring as fùck.
Yes, I main a Hunter and saying Warlocks are the most powerful in lore (too powerful imo), but that's Bungie's fault for playing favorites as they wrote the lore. This situation would be the same way if Bungie favored the other classes over the other, too.
2 AntwortenThe humble Merchant class. They live and die weak physically, but they eventually gain a fortune from the workings of their peers' tales. They will become heroes, but die young. The Merchant will make money from the next chump and live on. This is clearly the most powerful class in any game. Not to mention they can use the fortunes they amassed to buy land and hired protection. I will always choose Merchant class.

11 AntwortenBearbeitet von TrolleyProblem: 1/25/2016 6:05:10 AMWarlocks. True strength. No, true power, lies within knowledge. Within understanding. Titans are the murderous machines that the charlatan wants us all to be. Many of them kill without question. And if you attempt to explain something to them; they will accuse you of boring them (and that's saying if they've stayed awake)
not all are like them... But a hefty percentage
Hunters are too preoccupied with their "frabjous" cloaks.
can that cloak split quarks?
Too preoccupied with murdering their own, acting as if they are savage hounds. Killing for sport. Only understanding if it assists them in achieving their perfect shot. What a waste in potential. Though others call us warlock mad, Obscene, guardians. Insane. Doomed to be consumed by heresy. Haha, that charlatan truly has the bulk of you under his command. He disowns... DISRESPECTS us like that because we learn. We understand. We augment our understanding. Put the puzzle together. But they do not wish for competent weapons. They want murders. Dead things, in the shape of the dead, fabricated by a dead power, which will only kill. They say pujari was dreamer. But look at what he discovered. Had it not been for him, we would have never ascertained our knowledge on the black garden, and assuradely wouldn't have made it this far Ulan-tan will always be seen as a troublesome man. But look to what he did. All he wanted was to spread the revelation that darkness and light are forever interconnected. Yet he was shunned for it. At the very least, symmetry still follow behind him Eriana-3 was "obsessed" with her vendetta. At the very least she was willing to risk everything for it. Osiris was a pupil of the speaker. He was like a son. BUT THEN!!! He realized what must be done, how we must survive. He confronted his "mentor" and was denied. So he banished himself to understand Toland. He warned us!!! Admonished the city time and time again!!! Yet he was called a mad man! Exiled for attempting to help us. He even shed his physical self and left to the hive over world to assist us further. And how do we repay him? With spite. Pathetic What have you hunters done? Killed one another? For revenge? For pride? If you'd just stop for one moment and attempt to assist one another maybe you'd see Titans. You've built these walls. But look around us. Look to the past. History repeats itself you know. First the godwave on fundament. Then, the whirlwind to the eliksni. Then the collapse to us. Start posing the inquiry of what you really protect. Warlocks are the most powerful. Not because of strength or versatility. Because of understanding
PS. Hunters, remember which one us not only killed the ahamkara (the fully grown ones) first, but as well; which one us understands their whispers
5 AntwortenCan everybody just agree that we would all be fkn dead if it wasn't for all three of our classes? I swear, these posts are what brings out the worst in this community...

2 AntwortenBearbeitet von Jeff the Cabal: 1/24/2016 11:40:31 PMThat's pretty hard to say. I mean, the warlocks know the most about the light, and they use the light better than any class, they are known for killing full grown ahamakara's and developed a lot of the war technology we have. Titans are known for their defenses, saving and protecting the last city on earth, they built the walls with pure man power. Hunter's are known for their bravery to hunt and search the dangerous lands outside the walls, they were the first to step out of the safety and fight. I would say warlocks, simply because the light is the strongest weapon, and they know most about the light. They also know how to use the light better than any of the classes. Outside of the light, they are known for looking deep into the darkness, they are responsible for all of our knowledge about The darkness, and our enemies. Furthermore warlocks are capable of bending space/time to a certain extent, the melees for example is warped space into a small consecration on the palm, and that concentration is used as close combat melee. Warlocks are also known for drawing powers from the darkness and from the light and using it as their own. (As we can see drawing power from the darkness can be very dangerous *toland cough cough*) They are also known for slaying full for an ahamakaras. So, yea. Warlocks.

Titans were the first. We walked the walls and ensured the safety of the city. It is by our might and sacrifice that the hunters and warlocks were given a chance to be.

Let's all agree that without all of the 3 classes working together, we would all be dead.
