And many more, destiny's first REAL competitor is going to blow it out of the water on March 8, 2016.
Tom Clancys The Divison
Feel free to google any of the above websites articles on The Division. They all say the same thing. Though destiny in its final form is a good game, it will be dethroned by The Division in every category possible. Gameplay, graphics, story, MMORPG, and the new mechanics it will have that destiny does not.
I loved destiny for a long time, but when the game is more of a grind than WoW, and each WAY overpriced DLC releases the previous WAY overpriced DLC is never played again because the names of the game decided it was best to make all its rewards irrelevant and therefore undesirable to play, all the PVE glitches and PVP lag and cheats, it's just not as replay able as it once was.
I've logged close to 1,000 hours, but I haven't played more than 30minutes a week in months.
The Division will be a new era. The first competitor in the new game genre that destiny has created. And everyone from alpha to early beta testers and all the interviews in between are saying this game will blow destiny away.
I'm a destiny day one player, but I'm excited to replace destiny with a game to dump all my hours into again.
Read spoiler to see a quote from bungie employee about how they AGREE that destiny will die!!
In December 2015, Bungie community manager Eric Osborne addressed concerns there "won't be any more substantial content until [the studio ships] another full game, or that all of the content for the rest of Year Two will come in the form of timed events."
Also, from the same article:
The release schedule indicated a new entry in the series would be launched in September 2016, but this is no longer the case according to a report from Kotaku. Citing sources "familiar with goings-on at the studio," the site reports "plans for Destiny's future are constantly in flux" and "just last week higher-ups at Bungie delayed Destiny 2 out of this September."
So there you have it. Bungie themselves have no plans to expand their already dying game. And the division, the FIRST game actually in the category/game genre as destiny (unlike fallout, cod, battlefront, etc.), comes out in just a month and some days. Everyone get hyped. Bungie gave a reason to get off their train, and Ubisoft is giving us a new boarding pass. :)
Also, Xbox1 Master Race FTW so... Yeah.
COMMENT AND LIKE IF YOU AGREE!

4 AntwortenI've played the Beta of The Division it was cool. But it's still not a FPS, that's where the problem is going to be with it. That's the first thing FPS players are gonna disagree about. Also the dark zone is a turn off to Lone Wolf players. As for Destiny's future Bungie might as well wipe this whole game. Take the gun mechanics and just rewrite the whole story from the ground up and introduce it similarly to the Taken king with in game lore. Don't use wait for Tuesday or Wednesday time gates to get your exotic from a quest you started on Wednesday night. Make a worthwhile understandable Loot system. And last but not least separate PvP from PvE. It's senseless to intertwine the two. PvP players are gonna whine, and PvE players are gonna whine but at least fixes won't effectively f*ck up the other group. That's it let me stop ranting.

1 AntwortenPS
I would care but I dont
1 AntwortenJust like Fallout, Blops, Battlefront, amd Evolve killed Destiny?
-
1 AntwortenMaybe for you, but not for me. Nothing against TD, but it just doesn't look interesting. I've never been a fan of stealthy-type games as my play style is run-and-gun... Also, I prefer Sci-Fi a lot more than military based games as well. Anyways, hope you enjoy it.

i love post like this because then the people who point out very big flaws in the game start to try and defend this game and then hate on X game.
-
Ok if only I cared

3 AntwortenThe division looks soooo lame though. I mean, has anyone watched beta gameplay? Nothing about that makes me want to play it.
-
1 AntwortenActually, after some thought I kind of agree. Come reset I had options of groups to do my raids with, prior to COD and Fallout. Now, if you happen to see one of those guys on and suggest doing a raid you'll get laughed at I don't think The Division looks good enough to totally kill Destiny in the sense that if there were a new DLC for Destiny, everyone wouldn't be back on....because they would be. But I think we'll definitely lose some more, for a little while anyway.

3 AntwortenNobody plays Destiny anymore. Its already dead
-
So you're going by13 articles written by one person each saying that Destiny will die.
-
Can't kill the dead, it's like a bag of stale donuts
-
Ill add this game to my list of "Destiny killers"

OMG here we go SMH Another DESTINY WILL DIE POST

9 AntwortenBearbeitet von ThisMahSwamp: 2/2/2016 6:27:37 PMI played the beta. While fun, I can already see this game getting boring really fast. While I get that this is only the Beta, this was my experience with the 12 or so hours I put into it. > Enemies lack diversity. > Bosses are just some dude named Ryan who wields a HMG. > Dark Zone seems genuinely fun....until you run into that invisible guy who is pub stomping everyone. > Oh, you accidentally shot a non-hostile player when he jumped right into your view.....-blam!- YOU, YOU'RE ROGUE NOW. > Loot seems generally boring, kinda like Destiny. > Prox chat is -blam!-ing dope! > If you don't have friends to team up with while doing Dark Zone activities, you are going to have a terrible time. > The NPC chatter is annoying as all get out. I literally wanted to mute it after the first 30mins of play.

1 AntwortenImo, the only thing that has the ability to kill destiny is Bungie... And they're doing a great job at it, unfortunately.

Bearbeitet von Alex_Supertramp1: 2/2/2016 6:46:54 PMI played the Division beta, and it seems like a cool game. I for one have already stopped playing Destiny for several months (aside from the occasional check in). So, it won't be the Division that kills Destiny for me, Bungie killed Destiny for me by getting me used to an expansion pack every few months and then pulling back this year to work on the sequel. I'm not too butthurt about it. I'd honestly rather an extraordinary sequel than the half assed "expansions" we got. But, there is still a criticism in there about setting expectations that you can't fulfill. Even TTK, while obviously the best and most improved dlc, charged 2/3 of the original game price and only gave us one new explorable are. That's 1/4 the size of the original game. I'm sorry, but I don't consider missions with reskinned enemies run in reverse substatially new content. To be fair they did open up new mission areas on existing planets, which was cool, and there was a decent amount of new Dreadnought missions, but it didn't really hash out to 2/3 of a full game in my opinion. There should have been at least two if not three new areas. So, I will definitely get into the Division. I don't think it will have me as addicted as Destiny did, even with limited year one content. But, it really all boils down to the end game. If they come up with something raid worthy with actual mechanics and not just higher levels of bullet sponges than I may be surprised and get into it more than I'm thinking I will. But, after playing the beta and seeing how the enemies scale, I don't really forsee an endgame that isn't just increasingly bullet sponged enemies. I hope they prove me wrong. Even that will be fun for a while tho.

Don't forget its Ubisoft known for publishing many fails...
The crew, watch dogs ect...
6 AntwortenI got bored and fell asleep watching streamers play the beta version of Division I'm definitely not buying it The only way I'll quit Destiny is when or if Destiny 2 is released on the current generation consoles. I plan on upgrading a PS4 eventually but I will not buy destiny again. March 8th? I don't believe the hype Its like Y2K to me, sounds legit but it wont be as server as anticipated^^
-
Maybe i missed it, but i didnt read in your post the part that says you played the beta. I did, its not garbage but its not great either, cancelled my pre order after an hour of playing the beta. Btw, its nowhere near destiny when it comes to graphics or gameplay.
-
It's cute how you capitalized "will" like it's actually going to happen! That's hilarious!
-
1 AntwortenI gotta chime in here! If this game is going to be such a slam dunk, then why do we have to reserve it to play the beta?? Why not make it an open beta? They have to have the $5 hook in you to make sure you buy it! I do admit it'll probably be fun for a while, but like mentioned by someone previously, the herd will return to graze in the fields of Destiny! It's a no brainier that Clancy has had some good titles, but once again it'll last a little while and it will fall off like the rest, if it even lives up to all the hype! Look at Rainbow 6. How long did we wait for that game? The hype was through the roof! I heard it was delayed to get it just right! I heard it was going to rewrite the online gaming world as we knew it! Then it was a complete flop!! And this is coming from a long time 6 fan, going back to rb6 3 and black arrow! We will see just how much Destiny will be "killed" Not much if you ask me!

You might die on march 8th.
