And many more, destiny's first REAL competitor is going to blow it out of the water on March 8, 2016.
Tom Clancys The Divison
Feel free to google any of the above websites articles on The Division. They all say the same thing. Though destiny in its final form is a good game, it will be dethroned by The Division in every category possible. Gameplay, graphics, story, MMORPG, and the new mechanics it will have that destiny does not.
I loved destiny for a long time, but when the game is more of a grind than WoW, and each WAY overpriced DLC releases the previous WAY overpriced DLC is never played again because the names of the game decided it was best to make all its rewards irrelevant and therefore undesirable to play, all the PVE glitches and PVP lag and cheats, it's just not as replay able as it once was.
I've logged close to 1,000 hours, but I haven't played more than 30minutes a week in months.
The Division will be a new era. The first competitor in the new game genre that destiny has created. And everyone from alpha to early beta testers and all the interviews in between are saying this game will blow destiny away.
I'm a destiny day one player, but I'm excited to replace destiny with a game to dump all my hours into again.
Read spoiler to see a quote from bungie employee about how they AGREE that destiny will die!!
In December 2015, Bungie community manager Eric Osborne addressed concerns there "won't be any more substantial content until [the studio ships] another full game, or that all of the content for the rest of Year Two will come in the form of timed events."
Also, from the same article:
The release schedule indicated a new entry in the series would be launched in September 2016, but this is no longer the case according to a report from Kotaku. Citing sources "familiar with goings-on at the studio," the site reports "plans for Destiny's future are constantly in flux" and "just last week higher-ups at Bungie delayed Destiny 2 out of this September."
So there you have it. Bungie themselves have no plans to expand their already dying game. And the division, the FIRST game actually in the category/game genre as destiny (unlike fallout, cod, battlefront, etc.), comes out in just a month and some days. Everyone get hyped. Bungie gave a reason to get off their train, and Ubisoft is giving us a new boarding pass. :)
Also, Xbox1 Master Race FTW so... Yeah.

1 AntwortenIf there's a game to put a dent in destiny it'll probably be overwatch tbh

Honestly all these nerfs just make the game boring. If you can't challenge a good sniper avoid the lane instead of putting your stupid dome in there. Put yourself in a position to have a primary gun fight or get the angle on said sniper. Prime him with a nade from behind cover. There's options. I snipe but when I feel like shotgunning I play the game differently. To be honest nothing is gonna change for these nerf scrubs because honestly a bad player is a bad player and you'll still win your primary gun fight. Then these crybabies will have something else to cry about. Most of these nerfs come from trash players with really low medal scores or kds but somehow they are the ones that get bungie to listen to them. Sbmm is designed for bad players as well. Bungie cares more about catering to newbs or scrubs than the players that have been with them for a long time. Bungie is trying to give everyone a trophy. It's gross. The game is getting stale. The nerfs have made the game already boring enough. Now they just keep on going. Next they will ruin sunsingers like they did sunbreakers (op but nerfed WAY too much). Soon they will buff a gun class that will become overpowered. They will destroy sniper rifles altogether somehow like they destroyed hand cannons not to long ago. They haven't touched heavy in certain game modes but keep messing with special. It's hilarious. Some kid winning a rumble or destroying your team in skirmish cause they have a mg is much worse than 6 sniper bullets. I'm convinced they have no idea what they are doing.[

The only games that are gonna take me away from destiny are Overwatch and Paragon

1 AntwortenPeople said that about Fallout, COD Blops 3, Battlefront.

3 AntwortenBearbeitet von DjNormal: 2/3/2016 7:48:03 PMDestiny will die threads are like end of the world prophesies. They keep coming and going and Destiny and the Earth, are still here. I'm not saying there's much left to do in Destiny, just that it's still limping along. The Division has appeal for me, but I'm gonna wait for the reviews given Ubisoft's string of blunders in recent years.

Lmao division is crap
-
I pray so. And then division will die upon destiny 2's arrival. Then 3 years from now, destiny 2 will be crushed by division 2 and so on and so forth. I'm looking forward to that DLC heavy cycle
-
I don't man the games don't look similar and from what I have heard they feel completely different. I haven't played the division yet I don't know but from what I've seen it looks like it would feel different
-
Guess what?! I'm gonna play both games. Because I don't need to stick to only liking one game, like everyone on here tends to believe.

Sorry man but the core gameplay of destiny is just too good. Yea it's darktimes rn for this game. But it has fan base other game companies would die for. Once something new pops up in the world of destiny. They will come back.
-
literally all media outlets realized they were wrong and made posts about how they both will strive as they are actually quite different.
-
2 AntwortenHaha the third person mechanics aren't even on par with gears 1. Good try.

Division will favor PC over platform imo

If the Division had a few more elements that Destiny had, I might be inclined to agree. If a majority of the fan base were to go play the Division for a week or two, I'd be willing to bet big money that 60-70% of them would be back soon afterwards.

Maybe you should learn to read and should have taken school a little bit more seriously.

I can't wait, division is going to be great, but it won't beat destiny. Destiny 2 or whatever it will be called will come this time next year and that will be the end of the division. Depends on the divisions dlc and how the expand it
-
Destiny isn't dying, just struggling to breath. It's just been slowly losing its playability because of nothing new coming out. Any super successful game consistently releases new content or allows players to do some kind of event (not just on holidays). MMORPGs continue to be played because the people who run them cater to the entire player base, not just PvP or PvE...

Last time the 'world ended', the T Rex looked up, waited, looked down at the prophesying human, ate him and continued along for another 1 million years!
