Why do so many people lie about being from the beginning?
Edit: Just to clarify, I am asking why do people obviously lie about being a day 1 player when it really doesn't matter. No one really cares about when you got the game
I always hear so many people talking about how
"I've played since beta/alpha"
Or
"I've had the game since week 1"
Cause seriously, only about 10% of destiny players are from day 1 and only 20% of them, at most, are still playing now
Edit: I just searched this up. Out of the 30 million people who bought destiny only 5 million bought it in the first MONTH, not day (16.6%) if you remove the people who bought it later in the month I bet it would equal about 10% of all players
I am going to be the first to say that I have NOT played since beta and I am in fact an Xmas Noob (Y1)
If you're a true day 1 player then put on your founders emblem/sign of the elders or your frontier ghost shell then I'll believe you

bought i one day before official release - still here but not proud of it - why - because the game is getting boring - mass effect like other games...nothing special atm

Haha, I came to destiny just after tdb dropped, I remember me still struggling to do story missions with my first character while all my friends were doing nightfalls and raiding.. but you'd never be able to tell I joined so late by looking at my characters

Played the beta but they never rewarded me the emblem... Bought the game a week after launch and have played ever since so no not true day one but does 5 days late out of a year and a half really matter. Might as well say day one because I've played since and have seen it all

Not day one but I'm week 1 released on Tuesday and purchased on Friday and started on Friday. You can also check trophies for first mission award. I love how so many of these guys are still claiming. Day 1 but won't/can't prove it. I bet they had super hot girlfriends in ha they met at summer camp and were from Canada that nobody saw or knew

I played the beta but it was on 360 and swapped to ps4 for launch. If it bothers people that much they can search my gametag and see I've got a xboxs account t on here with the emblem.

I'm a beta player and I got my sign of elders, sign of the founders, and founders seal on. Frontier shell means nothing because you got it from the collectors edition and that could be bought after day one.

I think it was around week 3 or 4 when a buddy convinced me to get Destiny.

You can call me a day one player, but I wasn't even planning on buying the game until I played the beta. The devils lair strike during the beta was harder than any content released since.

Beta player here Put on my sign of the elders (from the beta) on my hunter and equipped my frontier shell too For the record, I pre-ordered and got the limited edition for PS4. Got the arms and armaments guide too. I was waiting for Destiny about a year before it was released and was amazed by what the game was [i]suppose[/i] to be. Now it's meh... But still fun when something new happens.
