Why do so many people lie about being from the beginning?
Edit: Just to clarify, I am asking why do people obviously lie about being a day 1 player when it really doesn't matter. No one really cares about when you got the game
I always hear so many people talking about how
"I've played since beta/alpha"
Or
"I've had the game since week 1"
Cause seriously, only about 10% of destiny players are from day 1 and only 20% of them, at most, are still playing now
Edit: I just searched this up. Out of the 30 million people who bought destiny only 5 million bought it in the first MONTH, not day (16.6%) if you remove the people who bought it later in the month I bet it would equal about 10% of all players
I am going to be the first to say that I have NOT played since beta and I am in fact an Xmas Noob (Y1)
If you're a true day 1 player then put on your founders emblem/sign of the elders or your frontier ghost shell then I'll believe you

So technically someone could have a frontier shell but not have gotten the game for a month or two. Only thing that really proves anyone has played since beta/alpha is emblems.

I started playing on the first Christmas after the game's release.

I was there for the alpha, beta, and day 1. Although I essentially stopped playing a few months ago and all my friends quit.
