Edit: Just to clarify, I am asking why do people obviously lie about being a day 1 player when it really doesn't matter. No one really cares about when you got the game
I always hear so many people talking about how
"I've played since beta/alpha"
Or
"I've had the game since week 1"
Cause seriously, only about 10% of destiny players are from day 1 and only 20% of them, at most, are still playing now
Edit: I just searched this up. Out of the 30 million people who bought destiny only 5 million bought it in the first MONTH, not day (16.6%) if you remove the people who bought it later in the month I bet it would equal about 10% of all players
I am going to be the first to say that I have NOT played since beta and I am in fact an Xmas Noob (Y1)
If you're a true day 1 player then put on your founders emblem/sign of the elders or your frontier ghost shell then I'll believe you
Edit: I didn't expect this to blow up...

I'm from the beta I also managed to get my hands on the supremacy sniper rifle and I'm so glad I kept it
-
I was a day-one player, but after the first week I took a 4-month break to focus on school and crap.
-
I'm a second month player :( but I'd had to endure the forever 29 club. You know, back when you actually had to do vog. Unlike some people...

I'm from the beta, believe me or don't. Haven't played the game in three months? Four? Decided to take a stroll into this neck of the forums. Not as bad as I've seen it.

Bearbeitet von stevieBOIxx: 1/28/2016 2:08:03 AMPlayed the beta, been here since day 1. I don't play it anymore really, though. I have no motivation to do anything in Destiny. Edit: put on my sign of the elders emblem

Titan has Elder emblem. That's a Beta emblem. I find it harder and harder to play this game to be honest. When I first got it, literally the Beta play of this game was already 75% of the Day 1 Destiny minus the level cap. I only play this game when I get the chance to bond closer with my cousin who is about an hour away from here, but we're both busy with work and class. This game was extremely overhyped and was beyond underdelivered. The Taken King wasn't as hyped, but it was still extremely underwhelming. It was my most disappointing game of 2014, and The Taken King was my most disappointing game of 2015. I could easily go for a long post about this as well, but no one would read it and it would be tl;dr. For me, it's mainly because there seems to be a huge disconnect with Bungie and the Community fanbase as a whole. Their weekly address or whatever isn't new, and has been there since Halo 2. However, it feels forced and like they need to do a quota just to show that they are still there. The only thing I have positive to say about this game is that it is graphically pleasing. I often just log on, travel to the moon Patrol, and sit down and aim my camera at space. That's as much as I have done with Destiny to try and enjoy the game, because this game still feels empty, lack of any content that is replayable, or even substance. I've also been heavily considering selling my TTK disc and deleting my memory off of my XB1 to fill it up with games that I know for sure that I would play, like Tomb Raider, or Thief. I'm also waiting until Backwards Compatability comes out for Deus Ex: Human Revolution, because that was one of the best games I have played in my entire gaming life.

Bearbeitet von Dami: 1/28/2016 1:56:23 AMI never played the beta, but I'm a day one player. Not sure if I should be proud of that.

Well, I pre-ordered it a day before it came out and got it day 1.
plz beliv meh ;-;
Being a day one player seems to be a status that peoe actually want to have, I really don't care for it, but it does have it's Perk of being able to retell the legacies of how broken Crucible was... Also how First light was the best map!
-
I played the beta but didn't actually play the full game for about a week and a half after it cane out

2 AntwortenI played since beta. I was originally on xbox one and played beta and got the vanilla game at the midnight release. I eventually moved to ps4 about 2 days before TDB dropped. Still playing today but mainly only pvp as in pve there is no need to be above 315 light so the end game grind has because nonsense. Long live vanilla destiny :( #Forever29

How to tell if they're not year one: put up looking for Sunsinger on lfg and see how many of the warlocks don't have it unlocked.
-
I definitely don't take kindertardian opinion seriously and unless you are a beta player no one cares what you think.
