Fellow guardians,
I and many long time players have voiced our opinions lately about our frustration with a lack of information Bungie has supplied us with about the roadmap for DLC's and new games for Destiny's second year. I, for one, am a little frustrated.
Before Vanilla Destiny was released, there was a detailed timeline of what new content would be released and when it would be released throughout the next year. As of late, though, we are given a few weeks notice before "small" expansions (and I hesitate to even use that word) are released.
Since it seems as though Bungie is holding back for a larger expansion at a later date, say "Destiny 2" or whatever they choose to call it, I would like for us as a community of guardians to come together and list our wants, needs, and desires for "Destiny 2". I hope that this list will supply the development team with enough information about what the community wants to see released for the next iteration of this great game.
Listed below are a few reasonable ideas I have, and if they are not met I would have a hard time forking over more money for "Destiny 2". This list is not at all prioritized (eg: 1 is not more needed than 10)
Let me know what you want, need, or think, guardians!!
1. 2 new planets.
2. 3-4 new explorable areas.
2.5. Drop last generation consoles. (Doing so, to the best of my knowledge, would make it possible for our current areas to ACTALLY be open world. No areas cut offs.)
3. One new "character class".
4. A wealth of new exotics. Ones that are extremely fun to use and actually unique perks and abilities.
5. ALL Old exotics proceed over to the next expansion.
6. Character and class retention (no reset for "Destiny 2").
7. Rework for old classes perks. Refresh the game a bit.
8. Private matches.
9. PVP ranking system.
10. Actually rewarding RNG. Fix the AI, or something. Anything to make events such as nightfall and raids rewarding.
11. Dedicated servers. HALLELUIAH.
12. 60 frames-per-second gameplay.
13. Near-impossible PVE encounters. Ones that only a select few will actually complete, but everyone will attempt. Unique mechanics, not just trash mobs.
14.
15.
Also, I would like to address this before it become a controversial topic in this thread:
I have barely any idea what it takes to develop a game. Some of these things I am asking for might be completely unreasonable. But, they don't seem like it to me. So, if they are unreasonable from a game development standpoint, I apologize.
User "GotSomeFire" had a great idea:
I have to disagree with you about a few things. I think that all old exotics should be dropped if destiny 2 is a separate disk. Bungie has proven that they are not capable of creating balance with all of those guns still around so they should just scrap them imo. I also would like to see a character reset, but not just a hard reset and then have to work to get stuff I already had back. I would like to see different subclasses with new abilities and supers. For example, void warlocks would no longer use nova bombs and get a new super instead (and possibly a rename but I wouldn't mind if the subclasses kept their names and still had new abilities.
I honestly don't see the point of playing through a new game if I get to keep my character as is now and just have to level up 6 times again to reach max level, or if everything in the game remains the same as it is now. It would also be pretty boring if they just kept the same old planets we already have and never updated them (although my guess is they design new locations on familiar planets for us to explore; like the European Dead Zone instead of the cosmodrome for earth).
But they better not get rid of trials or I for sure won't be buying the next release.
That list describes a 20 dollar DLC expansion. (Or 40 if Activision are your distributors). Destiny 2 would need at least 5 or 6 new planets at a minimum, if they're not giving us completely new sandboxes on all existing planets, only then does 2 new planets sounds acceptable.

A. Disappointment. B. Nothing out of my wallet, as I wont buy it. C. Overhype. D. Content cuts for dlc sales. E. A bunch of salty af people who didnt follow what my lead on B.

Make that 3 new character classes. This is a new game not an expansion. No hate just being honest

I vote for ditching light and making armor\damage values based on item usage. That way, anything can be relevant if you have "trained" enough with it. The more you use it the better the piece it is.

No more exotics it's going to be modeled after cod

How about new and refreshing raid mechanics. I swear to god if I have to stand on a -blam!-ing plate in the next raid I'm completely done with destiny.

1 AntwortenACTUAL new exotics, wider variety in skill tree options to add diversity. FIX Rng, it is too randomized and items are appearing way beneath your level way too often. I second the notion of OPEN world. Eliminate MICROTRANSACTIONS, we all may like the emotes but there has to be a better way to get them. And finally create a Server you may have heard this @Deej but weve clamored for "over" a year asking for it. Id also like to see a shift away from so heavy a focus on PVP they may be the creators of HALO but dont limit the PVE experience. This is NOT Halo, and we shouldnt be subjected to only pvp events. I enjoy a strike far more than anything pvp has to offer.

1 AntwortenBeards. Current Destiny with excellently crafted beards would be acceptable to me as Destiny2.

1 AntwortenBearbeitet von Elite 529: 1/22/2016 11:24:01 PMA rework of all classes and their perks. Right now it's just so bland due to almost every single player using the same build. Also private matches. We need those.

1 AntwortenNot sure if Destiny 2 will actually be a separate game. It makes more sense that they would do the same thing they did with TTK, in that it was an add-on to the existing game (but be a lot more content added). That way it's not splitting the game into separate communities. Even those that don't buy the new expansion will be in the same game, just having less content to access.

3 AntwortenActual open world patrol. No more confinement to specific areas
