Snipers need to be nerfed?!?! What!?!?!
People please stop asking for snipers to be nerfed again, and shot guns to be buffed. Just stop it pls. Your trying to take out the highest skill advantage in the game. If I hear another destiny player say that it takes more skill to shotgun someone than to snipe them I'm gonna shoot myself. That is one of the most illogical, idiotic things I've ever heard. Have you guys ever played an fps before? Do you guys not understand the basics? Jesus Christ it's making my head hurt. I've never seen or heard of a more misinformed player base in my life. Stop trying to make destiny pvp a free for all with no skill advantage. It's already bad enough as it is.

Honestly I believe shotguns need a slight buff and Fusion Ruffles need a solid buff, if all three were equally competitive then the balance would be much improved

2 AntwortenIt is much easier to shoot someone with a sniper than with a shogun. Do you even play this game? You realize people have primaries and shoot back right? What's illogical is thinking it's easier to run up and shoot someone who has a primary or s sniper, with something that has the range of a melee. Than it is to shoot them with a sniper. Hell you can't miss a body shot with a sniper in this game if you tried. Further more unless you don't care about getting killed and going negative every game, shotguns take more skill over all.

12 AntwortenThis community doesn't get it dude. If it kills them and a lot of ppl are doing it, the. they're convinced it's the weapon and not the player. Snipers got a ninja nerf with 2.0 already. And the ones complaining about snipers, usually they don't even snipe. They were run and gun shotgunners and now their crutch is gone so ppl are learning how to snipe. These nerfs and more nerfs is why I'm leaving this game. This community is just a bunch of babies. Way too many ppl ask for nerfs not understanding the consequences. Look what nerfs have already done to this game. No more fun weapons like gally, icebreaker breaker, fate bringer, or black hammer.

This is how I see it, shutguns should never have been nerfed. A sniper rifle now can take you out of any super with a headshot. That's ridiculous! Why is it a super if I'm as fragile as glass? A shutgun can't do what a sniper does so why nerf it? These days I find myself running No land beyond and a full auto shutgun to compensate with the lack of balance in the game. Bungie needs to stop listening too much to the community and let the game balance itself out instead of tweaking and ruining the play balance of the game. In GtaV for example when people complained about the range of the full auto shutgun or the one hit kill to the chest with a high caliber sniper they simply replied "our mechanics are fine and reasonable". Gamers will either adapt or keep complaining about any little upsetting issue.

16 AntwortenThere is already a large community of people who played bungie's halos who are already good at destiny's style of sniping (myself included). People who played battlefield or CoD won't be as good at it right of the bat. So they become the cannon fodder. Doesn't mean snipers should be nerfed or take more skill to use. The skill ceiling is already high. You can absolutely suck at sniping or be unbeatable with a sniper and everything in between. The point is, if someone puts in the time and effort to learn how to snipe well, they deserve to wreck in pvp. Same is blink/shade step shotty. Don't nerf, git gud.

Shotguns are fine how they are rn. I went like 18-8 yesterday and I only used a shotgun. The only problem with snipers is that are too effective at short range. At long range they are balanced. If it was up to me I'd lower aim assist at short range

1 AntwortenIn my opinion, snipers and shotguns require the same skill. And don't forget Destiny has a lot of aim assist. Although, it depends on the particular sniper or shotgun your using. With shotguns, if your using something like a "Party Crasher +1" which is basically a handheld cannonball you can one-shot kill if your targets in range. Whereas something like an "invective" which I personally think takes less skill to use because your relying on the full auto and your can afford to miss one of the shots. But the "Party Crasher +1" that isn't full auto (mine isn't) needs to be fired at the right moment because the rate of fire is really low. Regarding snipers... I have always run a sniper in trails and it is my favoured special weapons. I'll only use a shotgun if I have to. I think snipers take more skill to use because I have to strafe whilst aiming to make sure if anyone's looking at me with theirs I'm not a standing target. I can clutch a 1v3 in trails and have done a number of times. But only with a sniper. Again, it depends what kind of sniper you have. Almost everyone I have played in trails has had either a "Defiance of Yasmin" or a "1000-Yard Stare". The perk I have seen most on the "1000-Yard Stare" is short-gaze. That's another thing, the perks you have on your sniper matter. I have life support, and has saved me a number of times. Destiny does have a lot of aim assist, so good that when your looking at someone's orb in trails someone can revive and run in front of your aim and it'll lock onto them and make you miss your shot. But then, if your skilled with your chosen sniper you can quickly get the guy that's about to revive the orb and then if he got the revive off your can quickly res-snipe that guy too. (Done this quite a few times) When skill is concerned I do think it matters and it does take skill to use both shotguns and snipers. It just takes different a types to use either. Stop asking for a god darn need on snipers and buffs on shotguns. Get better, don't expect bungie to make it easier for you to kill people!

Does skill matter if I have a fusion rifle and you're at scout rifle range? No. Scout wins. Does skill matter if I have a shotgun and you're beyond blink strike range? No. Shotgun loses. Does skill matter if if I have a sidearm and you're at pulse rifle range? No. Pulse rifle wins. Does your skill matter if I Nova Bomb your face off? No. Why, then, should skill matter if I'm pelting you with an auto rifle at close range? It's been long established that if you have the wrong gun in the wrong situation in Destiny, you lose. Snipers should not be the exception to that rule.

Fusions need the fallowing to kill during vanilla. 1- placed close to mid behind cover to place your shot. 2- charge and predict and aim to kill the target. 3- it's mobile ((I don't have to camp)) You ppl nerfed it to the ground now it's only good at a shotgun range that's why I switched to one but I still use it for fun 0 -blam!- given to K/D. Special should be strong regardless of skill the only thing that count is it's intended purpose (mid,shot,long or back up)

16 AntwortenDestiny sniping doesn't take skill and you know that. Every other game incorporates breathing and sway into snipping. Plus, snipping hit boxes are way greater than most games. It's pretty evident from different snipping montages posted in the forums. It's a very low percentage that actually hit someone's dome. Most shots fired are actual misses but the game procs hits. Snipping should be made to be more difficult, not nerf'd.

Snipers need to be nerfed into the ground. You know why? So that you assholes know what's it like to call for NERFS. Maybe then you'll see that asking for shotguns to be nerfed is retarded. Asking for hand cannons is stupid. The list goes on.
