Post your thoughts here.
Edit: Please keep this post alive by bumping it. I have never seen so many people dissatisfied. Just take a look at the poll.
Edit 2: 7,226 respondents are unhappy with the weekly update as opposed to just 1,702 who respond that they are happy with it (as of 1/25/2016 8:36 AM PST). Worth seeing Bungie!

2 AntwortenWhat a update! I just woke up read it .. I wiped my eyes again only realised 3 things in my sleepy state... Big thing so excited about is doubles. Have to force our selfs to play Rift + lag-shitty team mates if not in a group + a migraine.. BUNGIE DOES NOT GIVE A FK ABOUT THE FANS !

I think Bungie - if not trying to bring us new content - should just try to reinstate older content into the game. I've started playing at the end of november 2015 and it seems I can only play TTK content, as everything else is obsolete. And I would really like to try Crota and VoG. Plus PoE has a huge fun factor included, but there is no point to do it, as I won't drop any up-to-date gear. If you add the fact, that the strike playlist consists of Dust Palace/Cerberus Vae III/Sunless Cell with occasional Will of Crota/Shadow Thief, the whole thing gets even worse... Give us a normal strike chain with different strikes, make old gear infusable/upgradeable, so people can do Crota/VoG/PoE instead of King's Fall only, and it'll be fine. Those are just database tweaks that don't require a full development team, voice acting, map making etc. :(

Bungie- For the life of you, if you add any more events please allow matchmaking for all. Leave it up to the person if they want to test their luck with randomly matched players. If I have to sit in LFG for 30 minutes plus, it takes the fun out of games. Many of us are working family men or women who do not have tons of friends playing console games. You fix this , you will find yourself getting more people back on board.

1 AntwortenBearbeitet von Celoxamortis: 1/24/2016 1:33:14 PMI completely understand that the DLC release map from year 1 is unsustainable but replacing it with these small events is just crap. The holiday events aren't even remotely that unique, Warcraft has been doing similar events for about 9 years now. Hell, Destiny's Festival of the Lost was almost a direct copy/paste of Warcraft's Hallow's End, minus the Headless Horseman. SRL was OK but with only 2 maps, Crucible style lag, and the poorly designed bump-and-run racing mechanics, it simply had no staying power. I also can't help but feel like these events are more designed around selling stuff via Eververse than providing meaningful content. Both Festival of the Lost and SRL were clearly designed around the Eververse store and I see no reason to believe the Valentine's event won't be the same way. Other than logging in to try SRL and get my New Year's stuff, I haven't really played since late October and am seeing little reason to bother. I'm sick of King's Fall, sick of the strike playlists that omit half of the year 1 strikes, sick of the horrid RNG. No ' holiday' festivals interest me - I'm looking for story, new content, new things to do. I'm not a PVP player but if I were I'd be livid with the way they handled this stealth matchmaking change, lying about it in December and only admitting it after almost 2 months of lag and complaints. Now there are reports that Destiny 2 is likely not coming until 2017? Meanwhile, Blizzard raised the bar for microtransaction fueled 'free' DLC pretty goddamn high with Diablo 3 patch 2.4... Since Bungie is copying Blizzard's Warcraft holiday event design, maybe they should take some notes from the Diablo team.

1 AntwortenBeen over a month since an official update and there was no real update. I mean that's what the weekly updates usually are but I thought they'd have some exciting new shit. But some valentines day bs and Rift IB?? 5 months without new content nor paid nor free. They better have plans to reinvigorate destiny or some of the few people that stuck around will be leaving soon. I think that a lot of the people that left for fallout, black ops and other games will wander back if they have something new to offer. But as usual the lackluster updates show that they're more interested in little events than actual content.
-
1 AntwortenNot really sure why people would be happy. The update doesn't fix what is wrong with the game.
-
1 AntwortenI'm pretty sure 'The Live Team' have noticed that Destiny's large player base has reduced a ton over these dry few months. Here's an idea that me, my friends and a few people I see think should be added to year two to get the blood flowing again. REVAMP THE OLD RAIDS, PRISON OF ELDERS, THE OLD STRIKES, everything that was left behind for shitty year 2 BACK IN THE GAME. We miss our sexy vog warlock helmets, our poe cloaks all the cool shit in year 1 that was left behind. Or maybe even add new gear with these revamped raids and stuff. COME ON ITS REALLY NOT HARD. Better than nothing...
-
2 AntwortenThey said themselves over a month ago that the news wasn't going to have anything important that people would want.. Overall, I'm happy. Know why? Cuz I didn't have my hopes up. They pretty much told us not to.
-
Just gonna say this: RIP solo players for the next IB. That includes me.
-
1 AntwortenI'm not quite sure. The doubles event sounds fun and all, but… I think I'll be taking a pretty big break until Destiny 2 at least. I might hop on every once in awhile to raid. I still enjoy that.

3 AntwortenBearbeitet von SliferFox: 1/22/2016 9:42:15 PMValentines Day is LITERALLY the last thing I'd want to celebrate in Destiny... I mean, seriously?? And then just making a 'special' crucible match that just gets rid of a player from the 3v3 of Skirmish? All I can say is there better be some really awesome loot (which I doubt) that isn't covered in valentines barf.. =\ Iron Banner, however, I'm looking forward to.

Keep the opinions coming guys.

2 AntwortenI'd much rather some extra guns in the loot table and maybe a pvp map or 2 or hard patrol. These little events are stupid, I want to shoot shit not collect masks and flowers... wtf?

3 AntwortenBearbeitet von ZionDV__: 1/22/2016 4:56:33 PMI unliked every Social Media acc of Bungie and their employees and next step is i dig a hole and put Destiny in. Maybe in May i take it out of the ground Or no may is too early. Luke smith can't handle that quickness

1 AntwortenI'm no longer going to play this game. This was the last straw, the last moment of disrespect from Bungie I will accept. I had fun, but there are better games out there and better developers that respect their player base. Catch ya on The Division!
-
2 Antwortenwith "The division" destiny's replacement at this point coming up they better smarten up or the game will be declared on life support if it already isn't in that state, ive played over 1400 hours of the game but patience does have its limits. thank god for good fire team members keeping me playing

2 AntwortenBearbeitet von nutmeg34: 1/22/2016 9:16:14 PMThought I would be in the minority (I'm unhappy)- pleasantly surprised to see I'm not. Bungie has had my support until now, I've defended destiny because I believed in bungie. But as of today I will no longer be playing destiny until I start seeing a real reason for me to come back. EDIT: The margin between those who are happy and unhappy has become even wider, do or die time bungie- lets see more transparency (less vagueness) and some substantial information.

Here's all I want... if there is certainty from Bungie about something, I'd like to know what it is. For example, if there's gonna be a legit DLC by Sept 2016, tell us that one is coming. I don't need to know much more than that. If there is a FULL ON "Destiny 2" in the works, just tell us. I don't need to know much more than that. I will likely play Destiny TTK regularly until the people I play with get sick of it... but the thing is, we're not sick of each other. I've made great friends through this game, and it is those friendships that keep me playing, along with the sound mechanics of the game. I do love it. I still enjoy PVP and PVE tremendously... it just sucks to not know what's happening next. But, I feel okay with putting it down and finishing other games too. Destiny is the first of it's kind when it comes to console gaming... so I'm giving Bungie the benefit of the doubt and looking forward to what they DO eventually announce. :-)

8 AntwortenConsidering how low the playerbase currently is crucible is matching players with other players who usually wouldn't be placed together (why there are lots of red bars and lag latley) and the fact that it's rift which is a very unforgiving expirence if you're a solo player, iron banner this time around is a nope. As for the 'event' I'm a little annoyed that they are celebrating Valentine's Day and didn't bother with Christmas which is a way bigger holiday. Also again like above, it's a crucible based event meaning that there will be plenty of lag in the event. This was really do or die time for bungie, they've lost majority of their playerbase & are competing with massive games this year, new IP's & sequels (Witcher expansion, Horizon Zero Dawn, Mass Effect, FFXV, division Ect.) which have many people excited & will keep the playerbase away from destiny because let's face it, a little event like this isn't going to bring anyone back.

2 AntwortenWhy do they call it a weekly update? Should more like a month to six week blog about nothing. Gamespot covers more news about Destiny than bungie does.
