A lot of countries have a 'constitution' of sorts but it is not a physical copy like we have.
With a physical copy it allows for people to take the text too literally and not see the overarching ideas behind it, but when your constitution isn't written it also allows for misinterpretation and deception because there is no physical proof of what it says.
Just some food for thought.
For those wondering the UK has no written constitution.

11 AntwortenHow do you have a set of laws and rights without writing them down for everyone to see?

1 AntwortenBearbeitet von BlaqSpiral: 1/21/2016 9:58:43 PMSo you want our powers as private citizens to exist as oral tradition? I don't think what you're asking is "retarded" but I do see it as short sighted and subject to far greater abuse. Based upon your use of "too literal," I imagine you are mostly speaking about the 2nd Amendment. It isn't taken too literal, its taken for what it is, putting the power of physical force, the only true power, into the hands of the people. Tyranny isn't simply an archaic anachronism, but a possible reality that sits in direct contradiction to what this country was founded on. Its the second Amendment that allows us, to keep it in check.

7 AntwortenOP your attempt at this quandary is retarded. Literally some of the dumbest shit i have ever seen.

2 AntwortenHaving a written document provides a point of reference and prevents time from allowing a lie to be passed off as truth over generations.

10 AntwortenHaving a constitution is fine, but ours needs some heavy editing as much of it is no longer relevant in modern times, or needs to be updated to fit the times. Rewriting it in more modern language would probably be useful too so there's less debate about interpretation of certain amendments.

The Constitution is already quite vague on purpose.

I doubt it.

No, having a written constitution was a main point in not being able for men to change law.

7 AntwortenName said countries please.

2 AntwortenThe constitution isn't the physical piece of paper, it's what it says. The appear only holds value as an artifact. I don't really understand what you're proposing.
