At first when I watched this video, I was a bit skeptical. I knew that the entire community had been having a ton of problems with lag and connection issues, but I had never really had any problems myself. I felt and knew that I was generally one of the very few people who was granted with this, and I was very happy. Basically, I knew it existed and was happening to everyone, but it never really happened to me.
So I decided to get on Destiny today, I hadn't played in awhile. I mainly play on Xbox One, but I keep my Xbox 360 because my best friend who I started playing Destiny with doesn't have an Xbox One yet. We were going to do Trials, only to figure out it wasn't even here. So we decided to play Elimination.
First game on The Burning Shrine went fine. Won 5-1 and met this really nice girl who happened to be on our team and invited her to our fireteam. No connections problems, as usual.
The next two games. Lag switchers. IN ELIMINATION. NOT TRIALS. ELIMINATION. Next game on The Drifter, We played an entire team full of red-bars. Lost 5-0. I would literally empty an entire mag of my Smite of Merain into a guy and nothing would happen. 2 seconds later, while I'm reloading, his character appears right in front of my face, and I die instantly from a Party Crasher, only to see him lag over to my other friends and the exact same thing happen. This continued for 2 straight games. Final game on a Rusted Lands.
Two on the other team with Green Bars. One with a red-bar. Double shotgunning with a Universal Remote and a Silence of A'arn. The girl we met lagged out midgame, and we had to deal with a double shotgunning, red barring, blinking warlock, who we couldn't do any damage to, for the rest of the game.
Terrible.
