What type of weapon would you use?

7 AntwortenI am used to wielding Katanas (I train Haidong Gumdo and hate weeaboos who own katanas cause..just no!) but a broad sword would be better since it has a better quality. If you forge a Katana and a European Broad or Longsword and smash them against an other sword the katana can bend or break. It's even depicted as being harmed during battle. Thats because Europeans started around 500 years before Japan did. Also they didn't have the right ressources to craft durable swords. The Japanese islands are extremely short on ressources such as metals so...yeah

2 AntwortenAxe is best choice overall. Not as high maintenance as a sword. Has a little more utility value. You don't need that much training to wield an axe in a decent manner, as opposed to swords. Much cheaper to fix or replace if the worst were to happen.

Tie between scythe and katana. Probably both. Three katana for my usual daily killing and training and my scythe for the serious stuff
