No one uses hand cannons anymore?
I think Bungie nerfed them into the ground. Without their range, they can't compete with scouts and pulses. I still see the Last Word around, but it will always be the fastest-kill hand cannon.
Agreed? Sad to see their legacy end. Maybe, one update, they'll be back in all of their glory.
Edit 1: yes yes the last word is still the most-used gun ever. Even after nerfing, that thing still destroys for some reason.

4 AntwortenBro I only use the HC on my Titan in PVP...this thing is a truck...2 shots every class except full armored Titans. I wreck everyone on every map and have gone flawless with it 3 times since I got it.

3 AntwortenFor pve, hand cannons stopped being relevant when bungie balanced them to the ground. Hey guys, hand cannons should not have the range of scout rifles. So we're only giving you 5 bullets. 4 for your enemies and one for your guardian for when you get overrun. Hand cannons used to be awesome. After ttk, all the handcannons acquired were terrible. The aim seemed off. And only 5-8 bullets.

i use the last word in about 1 out of every ten games now due to lag. Its a beast when there is no lag...however, most of the time I can put a whole clip into somebody and they just look at me funny because of shitty connections....so sick of redbars

For hand cannons being dead you sure see them a lot in trial

It's cyclicals so bungie can update weapons and we all switch to the new type. Keeps the grind real especially with regular players who find the vault filling up with saved weapons and have to choose what to keep and when

I still use them for PvE and for fun. I wouldn't say the range is an issue but there still seems to be an accuracy issue. I don't like missing shots that should be a hit when some one with a sniper rifle doesn't even need to be on target and still gets a head shot. I watch these sniper videos and I see what should be a ton of misses but they count as head shots...

1 AntwortenI found use for my Finnala's Peril. But that's about it. Too bad Bungie doesn't want us using them. I wonder why they'd go through the trouble of making things useless (see: gunsmith and vault for Year 1).

My uffern hc4 is still wrecking in the crucible and in the raid.

You'll get killed 200 times by Hand Cannons before you'll get killed once with an AR.

I got the trials adept handcannon yesterday. It seems to have pulse rifle range in sacrifice for stability so I'll probably use that when jade rabbit can't work close range

4 Antworten3 hand cannons needed a nerf in pvp, all 3 were exotic and yet every single hand cannon was nerfed because of these 3. They were hawkmoon, last word, and thorn. Same happened with auto rifles when the only major problem was suros regime. One thing bungie could do to prevent the over nerfing of weapons is 1, not nerf something everything a few people in the community whine that they got killed and 2 seperate pvp and pve stats for weapons. If hawkmoon is to strong in pvp then nerf it in pvp, it didn't need any changes to pve

Yeah they aren't as good as they used to be. But in a few months there will probably be a weapon patch bringing them back up and sending everything else into the dirt

2 AntwortenI still main a handcannon if I'm not using NLB. They have gotten so much better w 2.1. The random accuracy was fixed and now you just have to play smart w them. One headshot plus a throwing knife is death
