No one uses hand cannons anymore?
I think Bungie nerfed them into the ground. Without their range, they can't compete with scouts and pulses. I still see the Last Word around, but it will always be the fastest-kill hand cannon.
Agreed? Sad to see their legacy end. Maybe, one update, they'll be back in all of their glory.
Edit 1: yes yes the last word is still the most-used gun ever. Even after nerfing, that thing still destroys for some reason.

2 AntwortenBecause handcannons don't have a straight line upon ADS, it's more of a cone, so hitting people with a handcannon is RNG everytime. I tested this with my friend a couple of months back. If I stoof 10 meters away and aimed at his unmoving, statue like, stationary, glacial moving head I would miss about 30% of the time......a 30% miss chance at 10 meters is a deathwish if you are against any other weapon.

1 AntwortenBeen using handcannons since beta, still using them. Hawkmoon has some issues, but is still a solid choice. Been loving the IB vendor handcannon, as always on radar, and improved radar at that, are really solid now that HC's preform better at closer ranges.

I don't think that hand cannons are unusable. I just think that they require specific rolls to make them viable and since we can't re roll Y2 weapons, it's harder to find the right perks. I was running around with my fulcrum (the Fulcmoon) the other night; i did ok and had a blast.

I use first curse. It's basically the only option in PvE because of the ammo nerf which was stupid as hell.

I haven't used a handcannon in PvE since TTK launched. I did use TLW in trials last week though.

2 AntwortenCurrently using a Judith-D HC i got from the gunsmith. Same impact as the first curse but i got crappy roll on it. The impact helps it and the sureshot sights makes it a 2 headshot kill. Did pretty decent with it during IB.

You know what I never see? High rate of fire snipers, high rate of fire shotguns that are not invective, slow rate of fire autos and high rate of fire autos that are not doctrine of passing. It's sad how players think of balance when you never hear support to those weapons and how god tier rolls on weapons ruin the balance sometimes.

Havent used one other than tlw in crucible, but I always told myself if I did use a legendary legendary hand canon, it would be devil you know, still have one in my vault

The first curse has made me retire my mida. So my much fun in pvp

First Curse brings back memories of Y1 HCs. That's why it's quickly become my favourite primary.
