To those of who still play this game on a regular basis.
What's your drive? Lately with the stagnation of content and the state of the Crucible I generally feel little to no reason to play at this point.
[i]Note: Not meant to be a taunting/dickish post, just generally seeing if there's any reason to keep playing, maybe this thread will give me some motivation. [/i]

There's just something about the gun play that I can't get enough of. I hop on a couple times a week and don't even care if I'm making any progress. I just love the mechanics of the game both pve and pvp. Sure I have my issues with the game but it's just a fun shooter

Who needs drive? That's for true RPG/MMO players! I run purely on entertainment. I play Destiny along with Skyrim and the occasional whiff of Halo or Battlefield all because I simply enjoy all of them. The stories for some, the missions for some, the ludicrousness of one in particular... (Betcha can't guess which.) All in all, I play Destiny because I like the gunplay and the occasional hilarious moment that happens when I get a pentakill with one super completely on accident.

Thats it really. However i have got a crucible one where i need to do it with a fireteam so should be interesting finding people to do that as most of my friends are on other games. Quest is called impress lord shaxx I'm at step 2

6 AntwortenCrucible is your standard run of the mill PvP with no map selection. It's really nothing special. PvE is horribly stale. Nerfs have ruined what ever fun it was. Throw in an end game that you can't access in game and you don't have much. I still play between Fallout 4 because to be honest we don't have many FPS that are not COD or Battlefield clones. That got old back during MW 2 Halo has been a disappointment since Reach.

2 AntwortenBruh. This will likely be the only place I post this cause I know those who care already left and those who don't won't. But you seem to be of similar mindset to me and asked a simple question. So,... I've played from the beginning. But I'm seeing what kotaku and etc are talking about. They've watered down what Destiny could have been, will sell it as a second game, because yes, they're in this to make money and take over the world. Their company objective says so. Lol. Anyways, I enjoy the game. Look at my play history. I've played as much or more than the above average player. But it's losing its luster. It's losing players. It's letting whiners dictate the balance of the game way too much. I no longer have many friends who play this game and teamwork and camaraderie is what attracts me to these games and will likely be what pulls me elsewhere. (Ark, or division) Yes I beat the raid today. No I did not get anything close to even 315... Yes I played nightfall. Yes I got my 9th 4th horseman. Yes I'm playing pvp cause it's fun. No I did not get into a match with equal internet connections. It makes the game lose its edge. It makes it feel old. Helps me break off to some other game soon. Back to crucible!

I play with clan mates and spam strikes and such with ToC for exotics I don't have

Challange mode gear, exotic quest lines and helping the few friends and clanmates left on PS3. Occasionally killing time trying to improve on my subpar FPS PvP skills.

I still have exotics I've wanted to try out and emblems/shaders I've wanted. Today I fulfilled a lot, I've wanted the NLB, check, I've wanted the dark purple FWC emblem, check, I've wanted the Tarantella chest, check.. Today was very good and I only played for 2-3 hours.

Challenge mode and that's about it.

To be honest, I don't know why I still play. I just do. I guess it's just the weapon mechanics, I don't know. With the current state of crucible I'm ready to give up. The biggest factor mostly is ToO which is keeping me.

Mostly just crucible to try out different guns and setups.

I play Crucible for the most part. Haven't been on Patrol in a long time, just maxing out light level, improving my PvP game and working on Grimoire score. I don't play as much as I used to but I still play most days.

I come on now and then to do raids and stuff. One of my friends got destiny for Christmas and that all he want to play even over Starwars battlefront

1 AntwortenI like to teach people the raid or bring noobs though it. Kinda fun being a Sherpa and hearing everyone scream when they finally kill oryx.

Just social for me. Mostly crucible now. If I didn't have friends that played I'd be long gone
