Is it just me, or is it incredibly classless and dirty to wave off heavy then pull it when the other team has rushed? To me, it certainly is. I don't mind clever tactics, but explicitly lying in order to gain an advantage is dirty tactics.
Edit:
I'm surprised by the amount of people who think casually lying is a good thing.

I never agreed that that was a thing

Edit. If you must wave, please do so at the 30 second prior mark. This way I can loop around and pick your box and get back to the other side also. More is better.

They probably didnt know. Its not like waving off heavy is common knowledge. Either that or they were being sneaky
-
Yeah its an insanely dirty tactic.
-
21 AntwortenThere's no in-game rule for this. So if you play by a self-imposed rule and others play to win, you can't really complain.
-
Gots be smart had a couple groups wave durin heavy just to pick it up and kill. Always grab no matter what. Just be respectful and wait for that first fool to break the no heavy rule then go ham lol
-
I've just stopped waving heavy in Public Matches. 19/20 times the wave will be initiated and the other team will still pick it up and eventually get ahead by, like, 2000 points.
-
2 AntwortenOh man when my team waves and then they all wave back but still pick up both heavys and run around with harrowed quillums terminus' I legit get really salty.. It's like a free win for being a scumbag
-
I sit down at the beginning of the match to tell other to circle around and talk why aggresive behavior is bad for you ,but they still shoot me Dirty right??
-
So you are telling me you would trust random strangers to be completely honest over the internet with a simple gesture. I would enjoy seeing how gullible you are if that is the case.

5 AntwortenI danced to say no special , I still got sniped.

2 AntwortenWaving off heavy is only a thing on forums, if people don't visit them they won't know. Also I don't know why you'd not use heavy? Your either playing to win or you're losing.
-
Unfortunately waving off heavy is not an actual game mechanic. You run the risk of the other team not honoring it because they are not bound by those Forum-made agreements. Not to say there aren't teams that honor it but it's not a solid thing at all when you're playing with rules that are not actual in-game rules. They may, in-fact, just be thinking "Hey, they waved at us! Let's wave back!" Not every one of the 25 million players has heard about the Wave Off.
-
I never trust the other team when they wave heavy.
-
Agreed. We had it happen a few times. We melts a guy by heavy every time in case
-
5 AntwortenThat's a scum move. Report that shit.

1 AntwortenI tend to run to the center of each map and sit down. I am trying to engage the other team in a non-violent game, and they just shoot me. Every time. It is very disheartening. But I shall carry ownward!
-
Truthfully, I hadn't head of that till last week when I was running g trials and my group waved it,the other team waved back, and tried to pull a fast one. It is a shitty tactic

Bearbeitet von loonigus: 1/18/2016 8:58:02 AMWaving in pub games is utterly useless unless I 100% know the enemy team Iam facing. Pub games are not sweaties and waving off heavy is pointless. Did that once before and got a t-bag after I got a Truth rocket into my face. I have trust issues now.
-
Clever idea but surely the baiter would take a truth to the face

3 AntwortenWhat's "waving off heavy" can you please explain this concept to me?
-
Exactly. Me and my friend don't do it though.
-
Lying to strangers...huh..
-
Waving off heavy huh never heard that before
-
I had no idea this was even a thing. I wave to let teammates know that I'm at the heavy and am gunna get it, so they need to get their butts over to it. But I guess there will be no more waving because someone decided to make a rule up.
