And how does one obtain it?
I also hear talk of a gallihorn. What is that

Fatebringer was a gun in y1 that was very good in Pve. It's spiritual successor is imago loop

Fatebringer is dropped from Templar Hard checkpoint and gjallarhorn was a boss melter that most people loved to use for everything.

Fatebringer is a classic example of a Legendary weapon being much better than any Exotic equivalent. There are a few like that.

Fatebringer - a hand cannon with arc damage, firefly and outlaw. Used to hold 13 rounds? Now 10. Firefly used to obliterate groups with a single shot because it was based off of base damage. Best all around primary y1. Gjallarhorn- best weapon in the game. Rocket launcher with tracking, prox, and wolf pack rounds. Solar. Wolf pack rounds seeked target.

1 AntwortenFatebringer: Legendary Hand Cannons obtained from killing The Templar in the raid Vault of Glass on heroic difficulty. You can do that part solo, it's a bigger issue to get there solo though it's possible. It was THE hand cannon in year one: Arc damage Fire Fly Outlaw Gjallarhorn: Exotic rocket launcher obtained through exotic chests/drops/engrams. Very rare in it's glory days. Xur only sold it twice. First or second week and then the last week of year one. It outclassed any other weapon dps wise. Some people called it a crutch and just like now when people require You to be 315+ light etc., the requirement used to be Gjallarhorn. For raids anyway. Bungie nerfed the weapon right before it became obsolete when they released Destiny year two - The Taken King.

7 AntwortenI see that you have a level 40 character, making the two pan favorites already obsolete ;-; but In Short, fate bringer was an absolutely OP hand cannons wielding arc burn as well as holding 13 bullets in a clip. It came with firefly making people explode on headshot kills and a bonus giving faster reloads for Headshot, making it's 13 clip size even more glorious. Ghorn was THE BEST rocket launcher for year one, it came with 2 in the barrel, 5 more in reserves (with or without extra rocket ammo, I'm not to sure, I think the former.) it came with tracking a very straight forward perk that help a lot, and finally... Wolf pack rounds. Oh man, wolf pack rounds were CRAZY. With them, after a rocket detonates, it will send out about 8 (but I'm not to sure) mini cluster bombs doing about 1/3-1/4 damage of the missle it's self. To top it off, they all had tracking as well... Both weapons you asked about were the best choices for year one, but sadly weren't brought into year two, making them very weak now, unless you do old content like Croats end or prison of elders, try will work at full effect in year one content! Heh, I said "in short" that was not short :P oh well.
