So elimination is basically snipers?
Grinding through the boring pvp quests. I've never bothered with trials. This is such a boring game type. Nothing but snipers.
Well done bungie on destroying your legacy.
Edit: four games in, nothing but sniper battles. Switched to imago loop and telesto out of sheer boredom.
Edit2: if this gametype is for 'skilled' players then why are they all using mida and 1000yard stare? A good player can use any gun.
Edit3: someone start a petition to rename elimination to snipers and revive-spawn camping. Its catchy.
Edit4: man, some of you guys are very salty! For those that get the point I was trying to make, thanks. If everyone uses the same setup constantly it creates a stagnated play environment. After getting bored of snipe-offs I resorted to jumping round corners throwing grenades and firing my telesto. It was fun. Some guys on my team followed me. Yeh strategy has its place but it has less place in a first person shooter which is meant to be fun.
For those that focused exclusively on my skilled players line and got aggressive, chill. I'm not saying anything about your skill or how much skill it takes to press a button. I'm sure you guys would love to have an argument about your dick size all night, good for you. I'm sure if you all had the worst snipers with no aim assist you would all be the best. Honest.
Final edit: If everyone could start using fusion rifles and side arms just for shenanigans that'd be great. Vie la revolution.

Everyone seems to think that shotguns suck even though they're still viable. I personally am horrible with a shotgun, but I have seen plenty of people still do well with them. The mida problem comes from bungie constantly nerfing primaries into the ground. If the ttk for every primary type was roughly the same we wouldn't be having any of these issues.

That just stupid logic right there, no skilled player would handicap themselves against other skilled players. Also it's a competitive game type, this is where the players show their grit against other players. If you just want to chill and have fun normal crucible is there for you.

Bearbeitet von Heidegger: 1/14/2016 8:25:01 AMYour team can flank and rekt a team of three using only snipers. Best trails/elimination ratio for shotgun/sniper is 2:1. Also snipers aren't op just over used. I personally love using all four special weapons but I love variety in any game I play.

I use Shotguns in Elim alot It's a real stuggle finding flank routes especially when decent snipers block all of them off....

Nothing bothers me more in PVP then the over powered nature of snipers. They shoot too fast, the flinch is not severe enough and they scope in way too quickly allow crazy snapshoting. There is nothing that makes me want to play PVP less than snipers there the worst part of PVP.

I use a sniper or a shotgun depending on what my teamates and/or the enemy team is running. Just because other people are sniping doesn't mean you have to. Learn to counter it.

You can't really blame them. Trials of Osiris is all about winning, so obviously any team you encounter there will be trying to go flawless. Why should they put their chances of winning at risk? For weapon diversity and fun? Screw that, they want Lighthouse loot.

You didn't know? All 6 players go to their own locations on the map and hope that the other people sniping would move.

And party on dude. Agreed abo9ut snipers. I gave up on Trials not because I died gobs of times, but because I usually got iced without even seeing an opponent.

1 AntwortenI did that part of the quest today and yep... Getting hipfired around corners by 1000 yrd stares or sniped after walking 3 feet from the spawn. I wanted to try trials but if its gonna be that lame then I'll just pass.

Your title for your post should be "So all the Crucible is basically snipers?" In every game mode in PvP the vast majority of players are using snipers. There is no place on the maps that is safe. Anytime you engage enemies dots of purple light pop up all over the screen. Snipers can hit you up close, mid range, far away. Quick scooping is super easy with being able to ready and aim your sniper quickly then having ridiculous aim assist. And the fact that flinch isn't that much of a problem means you have snipers killing you in the middle of a close it mid range gun fight. Snipers shouldn't even be there. And of course you have the lowest of the low.....Hard scooping campers patrolling high traffic areas and respawn points. And all of this is really frustrating because there is unlimited ammo for snipers. They go through the whole match using their special as a primary. My prediction with the major February update is they will make flinch on snipers more severe, slow down switching weapons to the sniper as well as slowing the aiming and lower the aim assist. And most importantly, limit special ammo so snipers can't use their weapon through the whole match and eliminating perks that give you more ammo.

It's funny coming from a top one percent trials player that just recently stopped sniping because shot gunning is more effective most top players use self res shotgun and a warlock if your getting sniped constantly you lack skill

24 AntwortenAgree, to sit back and snipe takes no skill....admit it people, so to have a game mode that is supposed to be for the PVP skilled and then encourage the most unskilled weapon is really a bad mistake on Bungies part, should have made Trials more challenging, like no specials or maybe 8 rounds for the entire match or something.....encourage game play and strategy instead of chance and luck. I'm in the same boat, gave up using a sniper in PVP till they fix it, OP weapon or not.

elimination has less snipers than trials. since there's no rewards really basically will occasionally use primaries

Been using only NLB/fusion or sidearm for a week now in crucible. Most fun I've had in a long time!
