I recommend all of you do the exact same. Any time you see a player red bar, use your report feature for cheating / bad connectivity.
Because Destiny doesn't have dedicated servers, YOU CAN'T know which is which. Some legitimate players are going to get burned in the process, but it's collateral damage in efforts to create a better online experience as a whole.
I loathe Crucible events like IB and Trials now, because there are so many people willing to bend you over and take your win. They get away with it because they're given the benefit of doubt; maybe it is just their connection.
Regardless, why do you match good connectivity players with them?
Bungie: Either remove your win algorithm, so match making is a better experience, or spend some of that annual budget (from your Activision contract) on servers.

2 AntwortenI played Trials last night. 3 games in a row my team and I, all green bars. Then we go up against another team who has 2 yellow bar and 1 red bar connection. All the sudden there are two of us, including me, who are red bar. Next team after that we are back to green. I don't know if the other team was doing anything intentional, but I know we weren't. By your logic we should all have been reported. You sir are a colossal idiot.

Bearbeitet von CRlPPLlNG DEBT: 1/11/2016 9:48:07 PMI completely understand the bad connection, but not necessarily cheating. I'm with you, I've been reporting for bad connection since I realized it was a thing, but the other just seems a little much to report for cheating, in normal crucible at least.

I reported you because your post sucks

I've been doing this for ages!

2 AntwortenBearbeitet von Dadiola: 1/11/2016 9:19:18 PMi do all 4...unhelpful, unfriendly, cheating, bad connection. Ive literally been doing it every game during mayhem clash week. For some reason there is ALWAYS (90+% of the time) one red bar. It usually shows all green until we drop in and then one changes to red. Its my habit of automatically going to the roster and just waiting on the red bar to pop up so I can report him.....
-
Everyone should just report this kid if they ever see him in crucible
-
13 AntwortenBy your own logic, you'd probably be reported a thousand times. You can have the fastest internet speed available and still get red bar due to how Destiny works.
-
Bearbeitet von OOODragonessOOO: 1/11/2016 9:15:25 PMactually anyone can red bar because of bungies poor choice of p2p server, one bad red bar affects everyone else making them appear yellow/red when you go check. its just fact and truth. and anyone saying that dont happen to them is full of crap.

1 AntwortenIt's too late into Destiny's life cycle to introduce dedicated, so the only thing your doing is reporting players for no reason thus making it harder to catch actual cheaters. Good job OP.
-
Well gee I'm sorry I don't live in my living room where my Wi-Fi thingy is.
-
Also, "unhelpful".
-
Not my fault I'm in Bufu Egypt.
-
There should be a minimum connection requirement of like 3mbps or something, or like nothing above 200ms ping
-
So what youre saying is idiots like you are the exact reason why reporting systems dont work at all.

5 AntwortenBearbeitet von YahyaTV: 1/11/2016 9:08:57 PM80up / 20down Wired Connection, Port forward, DMZ etc But I still use to red bar regularly, only in Destiny. I'm sure there are people with 1000up down who will still red bar regularly in Destiny. As long as Bungie use P2P with global skillbased matchmaking expect lag. It ain't always the users at fault, #BlameBungie

2 AntwortenUnder 190k medal score? You have no clue about this

Not all of us are in a location that enables us to have cable internet. Sat net has green bar connection till the team lands in its location. Everything still works fine except the lag. I agree that bugie can find a way to stabilize that out, but not everyone deserves to get reported. I find it harder to kill someone when I'm glitching as well as being hard to get killed. Works both ways. Some people are cheating on that matter but how do you tell?
-
4 AntwortenAnd if you have below a 1.0 k/d, whether you're on my team or not, I'll report you for cheating. Because all you're doing is helping the opposing team.
/s
-
I'll report a bad connection, but I don't include "cheating". I'm not the one to judge if someone's actually cheating. I don't know/care enough to tell the difference. However if I can avoid people with consistently bad signals, I'm all for it.
-
So, if your internet takes a dip. It's fine if we all report you until you're banned? Sure then. Sometimes I'm red-bar, but everything still runs fine. When stupid stuff happens, I quit. A). Becomes unplayable B). Unfair on my team as I'll now go negative C). Unfair on the other team if a kill was gained even though it shouldn't have been Every time I lag, it has not worked in my favour. (Not fun hitting a shadow shot on a stormtrance, who then keeps his super, teleports next to me, kills me and continues on his merry way. Love wasting supers) Maybe try being decent about it? As some of us are trying to be as well likewise. Would be even better if connection was prioritised before "skill matchmaking".

unfortunately its so bad we cant tell who is and who isnt cheating .

Reporting doesn't do anything

I report bad connection. I had a red bar last night, but only when I loaded into a match. My teammates were west coast and I was east coast. Green in orbit. Red in match. Noticed quite a bit of rubber banding.

1 AntwortenBearbeitet von Skids420: 1/11/2016 3:39:10 PMYep everyone I see as Redbar get reported for bad connection teammates or no. However I only add the cheating option if it's an obvious lag switcher. It's obvious btw. But to be honest you shouldn't be playing a competitive game mode in any game if you have bad connection imo. If you can't afford fast Internet or good WiFi you shouldn't have bought a ps4 or xbox one ( roughly $400) Oh and if you got bad connection useing WiFi.... DONT USE WiFi!!! Just plug it in the old fashioned way with a wire!! If your still having bad connection after using a wire instead, its probably you ISP or you got a bunko router or something. This guy is right
