I recommend all of you do the exact same. Any time you see a player red bar, use your report feature for cheating / bad connectivity.
Because Destiny doesn't have dedicated servers, YOU CAN'T know which is which. Some legitimate players are going to get burned in the process, but it's collateral damage in efforts to create a better online experience as a whole.
I loathe Crucible events like IB and Trials now, because there are so many people willing to bend you over and take your win. They get away with it because they're given the benefit of doubt; maybe it is just their connection.
Regardless, why do you match good connectivity players with them?
Bungie: Either remove your win algorithm, so match making is a better experience, or spend some of that annual budget (from your Activision contract) on servers.

1 AntwortenWho is bungie more likely to ban? Option 1, guy who was reported 1 time. Option 2, guy who wastes our time spamming reports.

I only do that if they teleport or take no damage or both

2 AntwortenBearbeitet von P3RZIANZ3BRA: 1/13/2016 8:56:01 AMI do the exact same thing. The only time I don't, is when everyone in the game is red-barring. If that's the case, it's most likely the host of the P2P connection, and you can't really figure out who that is. I also send said player a message, nicely telling him that he was lagging, and might want to steer clear of PvP until they can get it sorted out. Most reply back with a thank you, but some take it as hate mail. I don't know why they would, as in polite as possible. That's beside the point though. Bungie is now considering constantly having bad connections as cheating. So report them for both, and send them a message telling them what's going on. And don't abuse the reporting system, as that can land you a ban hammer to the nuts. Edit: What is that helmet on your Hunter?! Thing looks awesome!

I agree with OP, i don't think the other players should suffer because the red bar can't be killed or its killed once he takes 4,5 guardians with him. This has ruined trials of osiris for me.

1 AntwortenI'm surprised you've even played enough to know what lag is with that medal score.
-
Next time I see you on red bar I promise to report you

1 AntwortenIt isnt always the players internet speed, often it is a shitty connection using bungies matchmaking algorithms I have fibre connection to the house giving over 150mbps i have a great connection but if i am in a fireteam with friends from different countries sometimes i show as yellow or even red bar but my Internet speed is still showing as 150mbps. Change so that i am host and i'm green again but friend is red.

Lol you can get a red bar just for being far away. I'm going to report every single player in the US and Canada because they're all red bar to me. Anyone around where I am is green and australians are yellow. Furthermore, you can get a red-bar just by being the host. In a raid, pretty much every raid I do, we have to do a host change at some point because it's giving the host a red bar that may be glitching the game. Well seeing as I am going to follow your policy, if you get banned in the coming week, you know who to blame
Not me. Your policy.
4 AntwortenHow about this instead: Anyone who has red bar no matter the team in the crucible will be auto-kicked from the game therefore no more lag issues will ruin the other players gameplay. But seriously...if you have bad Internet connection, just don't play crucible. You'll ruin everyone's experience when you're invincible but can easily kill other players.

I'm not reporting them for cheating.
-
1 AntwortenYour lucky your on PlayStation buddy I would report for being a -blam!-ing -blam!-
-
2 AntwortenThat's cool if I ever see you I'm reporting you for being a tool

Not everyone who has a red bar is cheating. Maybe you just report bad connection unless it's obvious the player is cheating as well.

Shut up meg

3 AntwortenThis post is like a magnet for people who don't understand stand how online gaming works.

Don't blame connection for sucking in the Crucible. Good players will still shit all over you, regardless of connection.

1 AntwortenThis post would matter if bungie actually cared about reports

Report system is a joke so... okay!!

1 AntwortenAnd thats why reporting doesn't work. Thanks

2 AntwortenSilly OP doesn't understand the report system or the budget and still posts about them. Lol

18 AntwortenI'll explain how the internet works in regards to consoles so you don't look like an idiot next time. Both Ps4 and Xbox One have top load that they can use for playing games and Internet connectivity in general, with both systems you can clock as many MB as you want for both DL and UL speed however the system will never actually access more than 25 MB/PS. So it doesn't matter if you have a great connection or an OK connection. Furthermore the regional traffic of said Internet is limited by Internet suppliers all over the globe during peak hours limiting the actual connection speed you can actually use, also the DNS settings matter as well and most people play on default at 0.0.0.0, 0.0.0.0 instead of using a Google DNS at 8.8.8.8, 8.8.4.4 which also changes the connectivity rate. Overall Internet gaming is completely unpredictable when the game it self doesn't have dedicated servers. You don't know what you're talking about, and you sound like a whiney brat that I wouldn't play with regardless.

5 AntwortenIf you report people for cheating who aren't, Bungie won't be able to take your reports as seriously. Bad connection is fine, but bad connection =/= cheating.

13 AntwortenSo this is what you are going with for your sad stats. Ok!
