I tried to have this discussion with a streamer... and as it turned out hes just a douche but all that aside.... its only 1.3bil if you take the scheduled payment plan... if you take one lump sum (cash option which is how I would take it) its around 60% of the jackpot. according to the lottery, the estimated cash option right now is...(checking) 806mil. so.... using that as your starting point... just to be safe assume the government would take around 50% of that leaving you with around 400mil. which is still a huge number, I just hate being called a pessimistic asshat for being a realist.... but what would I do with that?? well... build myself the perfect home(not a mansion), buy a couple cars, give my direct family a lot of money in a very indirect way (to avoid gift taxes) and invest so that I can live off of interest the rest of my life.
-
Technically if you do win it will be taxed and only given about half! So thank the government!

Probably hookers and cocaine.

1 AntwortenPut it all into a Swiss bank account and live off of the interest. At 2% assuming that you are left with 400M after taxes and whatnot, you will make 20M per year off of interest alone. That's about 1.7M a month. What can you do with that?
-
You don't get 1.3 billion, you'll get about 800 million after taxes

Chances of winning are .0000000000029%

Bearbeitet von MiIeHighMaNiac: 1/12/2016 12:10:24 PMHonestly not much. Buy a nice plot of land and have a decent house built on it. Buy a reasonable car and a reasonable truck. Finish my tattoos. Live a reasonably comfortable lifestyle. Give Trump a small loan of $1M. Hire Linda to lead my small private army against ISIS.
