Will everyone just stop! It's completely balanced. You're all just getting salty because it's gone full circle. First it was the Bladedancer Super. Then it was the Sunbreaker Super. Now you're all calling for a Stormcaller nerf. We get the same amount of additional armour as anyone else using their super.
I'm just going to throw out there some stuff the pre nerfed supers were saying in their hayday. Focus fire, don't pack all together, a headshot from a high impact sniper kills me, adapt your play style so that you can take out my class whilst we're in super... yada yada yada. Sound familiar?
There are many things that kill Stormcallers in super like a super blast and a quick melee, a solar hammer, a headshot from a higher impact sniper, focus fire, a golden gun shot etc...
So before you all cry nerf, remember that Warlocks had this coming and in fact is completely balanced. Okay so floating around and holding right trigger doesn't but other elements in the sub class do require some skill like perpetual charge, feedback, transcendence and where to place a landfall. Also we don't get any self heal, no ability to provide additional armour and killing another player requires at 2-3 seconds of being electrocuted before they die, excluded if you bunch up like morons where you see/hear a Stormcaller coming. Ionic Blink also uses up some our super.
So how about all the people, who main a Hunter or Titan, practice what you preach before calling out nerf again.
Edit 1: The Transcendence perk only makes it last longer. The length of time is ridiculous but once again, it doesn't get any more armour so we're just as easy to kill. It also means we have to sacrifice not using grenades or melee attacks until we have are able to activate our super. We also have to give up some armour, as given by the Feedback Perk, due to the Transcendence Perk choice.
Edit 2: after doing a little testing on the length of time of the Stormcaller perk, here are my results.
Length of Super without Transcendence:
• 15 seconds, without using attack or blink
• 13 seconds, with using attack
Length of Super with Transcendence:
• 25 seconds, without using attack or blink
• 23 seconds, with using attack
So therefore transcendence provides another 10 seconds of super. That is pretty ridiculous, so I propose a counter proposal, to reduce the time of which the Transcendence Perk provides to 5 seconds rather than 10. It still makes the perk worthwhile but not long enough to palpetine hands people twice, unless it's a small map.

Did you really just say landfall takes skill? You stupid twat you get a -blam!-ing mini fist of havoc and a roaming super, so don't say it takes skill.

2 AntwortenAll I want is stormcaller DURATION with transcendence to be nerfed. I think the increase is too great to be fair. I have run a game of elimination where a stormcaller comes around the corner, I run away, and he follows me around the map until his super runs out after circling the burning shrine 1.5 times. How is that fair?

Transcendence also doesn't use up your melee&grenade energy so you can toss your grenade while in Stormtrance. Even without Transcendence your super lasts the longest by far if you spam the r-buttons to actually kill people. It's the best and easiest super to get 5+ kills with because of the insane duration, tracking, range and chaining abilities. It will be nerfed in order to line it with all other mobile supers, deal with it.

25 AntwortenIts the best roaming super right now so obviously needs to be nerfed. Blade dance has poor hit detection, short duration, and can easily be killed. Hammers is OK. Then you have -blam!-ing floating dick gobbler with super range, super speed, and super duration.

They need to fix the super hitting you through walls and lower the time with transcendence a tad bit and it's fine imo.

19 AntwortenTechnically only ultra high impact- exotic , snipers could headshot a sun breaker. The duration is fine. All these stories of lapping maps are hysterical. Being killed twice buy a stormtrance is entitled based on who owns what positions and whether spawns have been switched. Odds are that if you've been killed on zone B, you're more than likely to die again to any roaming super. You won't believe how many people you can catch running back to the same spot. Also, I've seen guys spawn right In front of me while I was in stormtrance. Especially on smaller maps. I have a stormtrance montage that shows me killing a hunter only to have him spawn just up the stairs to be killed again. He must have been raging.

Yeah transcendence boost is a bit extreme considering grenade and melee charge quickly and exotics can be used to give grenades on respawn. Only other issues I've seen are the max possible range of the lightning given the chain effect and the landfall functioning too close to FoH. I'd say reduce the distance of the chain effect by about 50% going away from the user and either make landfall reduce the super time or make it stun instead of kill.
