Will everyone just stop! It's completely balanced. You're all just getting salty because it's gone full circle. First it was the Bladedancer Super. Then it was the Sunbreaker Super. Now you're all calling for a Stormcaller nerf. We get the same amount of additional armour as anyone else using their super.
I'm just going to throw out there some stuff the pre nerfed supers were saying in their hayday. Focus fire, don't pack all together, a headshot from a high impact sniper kills me, adapt your play style so that you can take out my class whilst we're in super... yada yada yada. Sound familiar?
There are many things that kill Stormcallers in super like a super blast and a quick melee, a solar hammer, a headshot from a higher impact sniper, focus fire, a golden gun shot etc...
So before you all cry nerf, remember that Warlocks had this coming and in fact is completely balanced. Okay so floating around and holding right trigger doesn't but other elements in the sub class do require some skill like perpetual charge, feedback, transcendence and where to place a landfall. Also we don't get any self heal, no ability to provide additional armour and killing another player requires at 2-3 seconds of being electrocuted before they die, excluded if you bunch up like morons where you see/hear a Stormcaller coming. Ionic Blink also uses up some our super.
So how about all the people, who main a Hunter or Titan, practice what you preach before calling out nerf again.
Edit 1: The Transcendence perk only makes it last longer. The length of time is ridiculous but once again, it doesn't get any more armour so we're just as easy to kill. It also means we have to sacrifice not using grenades or melee attacks until we have are able to activate our super. We also have to give up some armour, as given by the Feedback Perk, due to the Transcendence Perk choice.
Edit 2: after doing a little testing on the length of time of the Stormcaller perk, here are my results.
Length of Super without Transcendence:
• 15 seconds, without using attack or blink
• 13 seconds, with using attack
Length of Super with Transcendence:
• 25 seconds, without using attack or blink
• 23 seconds, with using attack
So therefore transcendence provides another 10 seconds of super. That is pretty ridiculous, so I propose a counter proposal, to reduce the time of which the Transcendence Perk provides to 5 seconds rather than 10. It still makes the perk worthwhile but not long enough to palpetine hands people twice, unless it's a small map.

As with everything lately waste of talent or item now. I never play storm caller with those gloves. They simply don't work in the lag fest bungee calls pvp.

Why should you get two pvp classes better than any one titan class? By definition that's unbalanced. Furthermore, the big "rationalization" for sunbreaker nerf was that their kd was averaged at 1.6, I am willing to wager storm callers are right there with it. 28 second super? Jesus dude that's way too long. Trial matches are 2 minutes! That's one super for 1/4 match. What super do we see rack up 3+ kills most consistently? No doubt storm caller. Lower duration, definitely lower agility. If you kill me and I spawn half the map, you shouldn't be able to run over with your super still active and kill me. Am I salty? Yes. You all demanded nerf and completely broke sunbreakers to the point of unusability. Now you're saying don't do it to you? The complete arrogant audacity is repulsive.

1 AntwortenThe duration is still fair. People forget that it isn't a one hit kill super. It takes 3 ticks to kill. You only have yourself to blame if a stormcaller is able to kill you twice while still in super. Warlocks aren't hard to kill, even when in stormtrance mode

Sunbreakers were first now storm caller is next on the Huntard radar I knew this was gonna happen.

3 AntwortenSo a Stormcaller killed me. I respawn to where he's coming towards me, still in Super. I quickscoped him and jumped back, feeling accomplished with the kill. If I wouldn't have done that, he would have killed me twice, same Super.

I like the idea for the trancendece perk. My only problem with storm caller has been how long it lasted

Stormcallers are pretty damn easy to counter. Hint: The counter isn't running straight into them. Like the team I played in Mayhem Clash yesterday. When I get a plus 2 KD in a match, something is very wrong with the situation. Stormcallers aren't the invincible gods of war Sunbreakers were. But I imagine every Stormtrance perk will get nerfed into oblivion in the next balance patch.

Most these ppl dont know that storm trance isnt a 1 hit kill like the hammer or golden. Takes 2 seconds. Other then that dont get close

4 AntwortenI am a Hunter and I sorta don't agree with your post. Without that, I don't find Warlocks challenging anymore just like they slightly nerf the Sunbreaker Titans. I always adapt and improvise against supered Sunbreaker & Stormcaller as a Hunter.

I mean I don't want to see another overnerf from bungo.

Since Day 1 the only real balance-connected class problem i had was with sunbreaker titans. These really needed nerfing, because they were almost impossible to kill with their super on. Warlocks are alright, all's good. So yeah, no more class nerfing, look for balance elsewhere.

Only thing i can see is either a small, very small decrease in either time active or range. Main reason why people want to nerf is the same reason for a MIDA nerf. Its currently the closest thing to actually being balanced and doesnt have an insane amount of problems with it.

Wrong. Were weaker then others and it doesn't matter about impact, one sniper head shot will do it

Its op Bungie please nerf. You should only be able to bring a Dregs health to half with the damage. In all seriousness though they nerfed the other classes Warlock needs it now more than ever
