I mean, I find myself raging after hitting a stormcaller super, and then not only is he not dead but his super kept going and he swept me and the rest of my team..
Wheres the damn logic in giving one subclass the WORSE super on all perimeters?
Youre limited to 3 kills unlike any other super besides gunslinger.
You have to AIM your shot, and unlike gunslinger you also have a slight delay.
You have NO shield.
You do MINIMUM damage that dosent kill any other shield or super.
Long range is difficult, short range is difficult.
You dont have a sort of activate and kill mechanic like the stormcaller, you can be easily shot down.
So, whats the point of making this super so freaking useless on PVP? Just looking at the differences makes me wonder if anyone even bothered to balance the supers with one another.
EDIT
. I am just speaking about the super themselves, not the player using them- and when I look at the supers, shadowshot is the worse for PVP. Yes, Iike the the rest of the skills and use the graviton, but why give the quiver perk if youre not gonna make shadowshot viable in PVP?
Tldr- shadowshot brings nothing to the table that shines over other supers. It is inferior in every aspect, and I dont think it should be that why just because its a support class.
Dare I say.. Shadowshit

1 AntwortenThis post made me dumber. Hunter gets a support class and you complain it can't kill fast enough? Have you EVER played as a defender? I mean, in all seriousness, you even implied that since you have to suffer the injustice of having to aim your super, you should automatically get instant kills. Moron.

Suppression needs to activate upon hit instantly.
-
You do certainly have added armor when shadowshot is used.

1 AntwortenIf it's so bad in crucible, why not just use a different subclass in crucible?

I like Shadowshot for the most part, Nightstalker neutral game is strong. The only thing I absolutely want to see changed is having the shadowshot shut down a super on direct hit.

3 AntwortenSorry you made this post friend, I made one about the same thing a week ago and I was castrated for it. People are ignorant, it is what it is.
-
I use it in trials and I do fine
-
I feel your pain. That being said I still love the subclass as a whole. But if there's any amount of lag in the game, shadowshot is almost useless against other supers.
-
It's a PVE super mainly just like defender bubble. I don't know why it was nerfed initially and think the suppression effects should be immediate but oh well. Hunters have pretty black and white choices when it comes to pvp vs PVE subclasses
-
I agree that the super is a bit underwhelming in pvp. That said, it is unfair to isolate a single ability in a skill tree to declare balance. Smoke grenades give the ability to either disappear from radar entirely or act as a "weak" grenade. Both allow for a lot of neutral zone control. All three actual grenades are also designed for area denial (more neutral zone control). Shadestep allows a Hunter to quickly remove themselves from a losing encounter (if cover and approach are used intelligently) Hunter jumps are also allow for good reactionary mobility, hence more neutral control (there is a theme here). While shadowshot is not the strongest super, the collective abilities of the class lead it to be a strong performer when played correctly. I bounce between double tripmine/golden gun and Nightstalker depending on how well I am playing. The simple answer is that gunslinger is a very strong class for every mode of pvp and not all classes so the Hunter is in a pretty good state. Sorry you got flamed on your post but you need to recognize and play to the strengths of each subclass to maximize success in pvp (not that you don't).

1 AntwortenOne them escaped, sorry. Sincerely, All hunters.

It's a support super. Play defender in pvp and then come talk to me
-
Its a support / control super much like the titan bubble. I hated nightstalker sub class at start but its by far my favourite now. Works really well in some pvp game modes too. If you havent played with it much then stick with it it might surprise you. If youve played enough with it to know you dont like it then i guess its just not for you. I hope they keep adding new sub classes pvp would be crazy if it got up to six for each class. I still keep expecting to be shot guned when i see a titan running full head on at me until he jumps then i know im buggered. Some people take pvp really serious and im not knocking that, each to their own. I really enjoy pvp because its fun to me. I do hate it a tad at times when im getting slaughtered and hurting my team. I guess im more of a good game than get good personality.

Only thing I'd like changed is the delay in which it tethers. If I hit next to your feet, you should be stuck instantly.
-
First of all it's a support class, not meant to kill. Second, if utilized correctly, NIGHTSTALKER is the best for pvp. Great non super play and although it has a delay, it can make or break a game, whether it kills you or not. Lastly, you do get armor when activating it.

1 AntwortenPersonally I find I get my best k/d's while playing nightstalker. When it comes to shutting down supers I tend to shoot in the direction they are moving, not at them. You have to plan ahead. It's not a panic super.
-
But if u use the tether rather than going for a kill shot it becomes one of the most useful in pvp. It can shut down multiple supers and weakens and slows all enemies. I main titan and when u hit ur super and walk round a corner ready to cause some destruction only to be tethered, get tethered at heavy ammo, control points or spark, salvage points... Nightstalker, like defender, is a support class. If u want a super for killing then switch classes!!
-
Then don't use it. Simple.
-
You are not suposed to KILL with it dumbass, you are suposed to supress enemies and support your team. Hence why the support super.
-
Kinda sounds like you're just really bad at using it
-
Try running it on mayhem. Shadow shot is the most annoying super there and it's sooooo much fun x)
-
Its good tho, just practise more with it. But the delay in activating is a problem for pvp tho.
-
Nightstalker is perfect how it is. It's a support class that actually gets kills. Stop screaming for a buff.
-
All of these people using Quiver and getting butthurt is hilarious. "Quiver had a game breaking glitch, so it must be the best choice" What a bunch of dipshits. Complaining about your support super not killing people is the same as crying about Ward of Dawn not killing people.
